We absolutely loved bike camping with our kids at this site! The site is beautiful and secluded with sun-dappled light, pawpaw trees, spice bushes, and lots of good sycamore bark for kindling. We were able to order well-seasoned wood delivered by the hosts, which was such a convenient amenity. There is a very clean port-a-john and hand washing station, and you can hop right over to the C&O from the campsite. It is about 7 miles north to Williamsport and 5 miles south to McMahon's Mill. There is parking at the site and a short walk from the trailhead, and the wagon was super helpful. The neighboring campground was having a large Labor Day party with music and fireworks when we were there, so it was probably a little louder than most weekends but it wasn't unpleasant. The fireworks were a special and unexpected touch.
We were so lucky to score a few nights at this pretty campsite! Stephanie was such a gracious host, we love that she shared this little slice of paradise with us.

The place was great and the hosts were very sweet. The site is very private, though you can hear some cars, maybe from the neighbors driveway.
Loved access to the bike path to go into town. The barely was wonderful.

Great tucked away site with easy access to the C&O canal for walking, biking etc. We rode our bikes into town for lunch and really enjoyed exploring the area.

10/10 recommend this site! I liked that the campsite is far enough away from the street to be out of site but close enough that it's not a burden to run back to the car to get things/put stuff back. We had plenty of space for my group of six (three tents) and loved cooking over the camp fire. The two picnic tables were also very helpful. Although you can't see the water from this camp site, being surrounded by trees means lots of privacy and lots of lovely dappled light. It's just a quick walk to the water and very lovely there as well. Stephanie and Tim were lovely and responsive hosts throughout, including lending us a jumper cable when one of our cars wouldn't start on the last day. We loved this location and spent time in Antietam, Williamsport and Harper's Ferry. Oh, and the drive to the campsite is LOVELY - rolling fields, country roads, happy houses. We would love to come back some day!

This is my second time staying at this hip camp site and I can't say enough nice things about it! Both Stephenie and Tim are great hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay (even bringing by their farm pig for a quick visit, which a toddler in our camp group loved!). It's also a nice perk to be able to rent paddle boards and bikes from them. We had a great stay and would love to return again next year!

The host was very helpful and showed me the path to the site and how to get to the river. It was much appreciated. The site also had a wash station which was great! A very peaceful site. Would visit again.

Even though we could only spend a limited time outside since heavy rains and storms, it was a memorable trip. Overall it was a good time, and it definitely helped that Tim and his wife Stephanie were an amazing host; they helped us take all our stuff when we arrived and guided us at night while it was raining, and also Tim came back in the morning and guided us again since when we arrived it was nighttime so we could have a better look. He helped a ton. A+++ would totally recommend this spot to anyone searching for a good experience.

My husband and i had a lovely anniversary getaway here at C&O camping club. The campsite is secluded and just a nice little walk from the canal trail and the river. Our hosts were very accommodating….. the highlight of our time was our early morning river excursion. We rented a kayak and a paddle board. The morning was gorgeous…. So peaceful and quiet before the river got busy with boats. We saw lots of deer, two bald eagles, geese and ducks, and a racoon.
We hope to be back sometime!

This camp spot was dreamy! I loved having the river access for swimming and paddling, as well as the C&O Canal trail for cycling. Both Stephenie and Tim were amazing hosts and made me feel welcome and right at home. I would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway with some adventure/outdoor activities thrown in.

Perfect camp site! You will need to walk your stuff to the site, it’s not totally far, the wagon they had was helpful. The river is a short walk from the site and was beautiful, we cooked at the firepit there one evening. The site itself is very large, portapotty was great, 2 picnic tables was very helpful. We ordered firewood which was waiting by the firepit. We went foraging for mushrooms and spotted many. Stephanie was a great host and met us promptly at our arrival time to show us around. Definitely recommend!!

Overall the site was great! Clean and everything you need! Plus super close to the river, Tim and Stephenie were kind and informative for what we could do around the area and even about some of the floral and fauna in the area. Private and away from the house it was a great get away for friends and family!!! The state parks are slammed holiday weekends so maybe take a day out on the river instead if you go during a holiday. My friends and I had a great time. 5/5 would recommend!

I had a wonderful time at the C&O Camping Club! The weather muddied things up a bit but the hosts were so hospitable and accommodating! There’s a cart to help you bring your things to camp which is super helpful and the river is only a short hike away. I felt very safe and things were secluded enough to feel like I had my own private camp. Porta potty was clean and the fire pit is great, especially if you like to cook on the fire. My sister and niece had a wonderful time as well. We explored the river bank and walked along the C&O towpath quite a bit. Saw a variety of wildlife. Super relaxing once the weather cleared up. Thanks again so much, Stephenie!

The campsite was tidy and had everything I needed! Just steps away from the tow path and the river. I felt welcomed and got a great tour as soon as I arrived. Definitely recommend this site!

Perfect spot for camping if you’re looking to get away and explore nature. Stephanie and Tim were great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. I plan on coming back to this spot at least a couple times a year.

Such a sweet getaway - loved how close it was to the bike route on the canal. Campsite was well groomed, port-a-potty was quite clean. The walk from the car is not super far, and the provided wagon was helpful. We paid extra for firewood, which was waiting for us at the fire pit after being welcomed by our host. The campsite is private, but you can still see the houses from the site, so I wouldn’t say it felt secluded. We definitely want to come back!

If your looking for the perfect spot with incredible guests who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome on their land, look no further!! Came here for 2 nights with some high school buddies for a reunion and Stephanie and Tim could not have been more incredible, Tim showed us around the property and Stehanie gave us fresh cut flowers and veggies/ herbs from the garden. We were able to rent some kayaks and SUPs and spent the weekend lounging by the water and hanging by the fire. We have officially decided this will be the reunion camping trip spot for years to come. Thanks again Tim, Stehanie (and Luna!) we look forward to coming back :-)

Wonderful site as described so well in the description and reviews! What a gem - amazing location with a short walk to the Potomac and C&O trail. Tim and Steph are thoughtful hosts, expert maple syrup makers and have set up a beautiful camp site. Our family had a memorable time - we look forward to returning!

Stephanie and Tim were incredible hosts. Super friendly people who take great care of their campsite and the surrounding area. They met us upon check-in and gave us a lay of the land, a cart to help us haul our gear to the site and a basket of herbs from their garden.
The site site was secluded and wooded for that deep woods feel. It’s a flat surface which was great when setting up. The site has a large fire pit with a built in grill. There is a porto-potty and sink there too! The C&O and Potomac are a short walk away and even offer a little beach area to enjoy the Potomac and sunset.
I highly recommend C&O camping club!

Fantastic location, well maintained campsite. Plenty of room to spread out and several trees great for hammocks. Easy access to C&O towpath and short walk to riverbank. Note there is a short walk to the campsite from where you park so if you tend to bring a lot of gear, be advised. However, we packed light and the cart Stephanie and Tim leave for use made it easy. Both were super friendly and gave us the lay of the land upon arrival. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back.

This was the ideal camping spot! Stephenie and Tim were amazing hosts. The site was well maintained and it's clear they put a lot of love and care into the campsite and the area around it. The campsite had very thoughtful touches and was spacious, yet private. The proximity to the river was a big plus. We had a great time walking along the trail and exploring the area. Right by the site there was an old C and O Canal lock and a lockhouse that was beautifully preserved. We went in October when the leaves were changing, so it was extra picturesque. We can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking to get away- it was perfect!

This was such a lovely spot. Very private and secluded in the woods with quick access to the C&O canal trail. The host was super responsive and gave us some great biking/swimming/exploration tips. The campsite was very thoughtfully laid out.
