The property is beautiful and the lake was wonderful. We kayaked and hung on the lake. We were very close to Carlinville which was nice. Great shops and lots to do. I will probably be a regular out there since it is only a hour away from where I live. A great quick get away

Such a cool place to visit! We had access to kayaks, a gorgeous pond view, and the peace and quiet one could ever want! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet spot with awesome amenities!

Very serene location. Drive to the spot was beautiful. Loved the stay as far as vibes go. Free to use kayaks were a great addition. The only downside is there are no public bathrooms/showers, which was only an issue as we were in a converted sprinter van with no bathroom.

Newly Favorite Hipcamp!

The entire property was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Good fishing in the and the kids had an absolute blast playing on the kayaks in the lake all weekend. Late night we were able to walk over to the other side of the property and saw a beautiful wedding in progress! All of it was gorgeous. We need to come back this fall and do the trails that we missed out on! By the way, the sewer hookup was an unexpected surprise!! Out new favorite place and we will be back soon. 😁

The tiny cabin was so much fun. Beautiful location and totally secluded. We didn’t see another person around the cabin for the entire time we stayed. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and everything.

Great place for a relaxing weekend

We had a great weekend at Timberline Ridge! The weekend did start off with a power issue but just a few moments after I sent a message the owners were out to rectify the issue. Couldn't have asked for a better response. The site is absolutely beautiful overlooking the lake. Would recommend for a nice relaxing weekend!

Quiet lake camping

Very peaceful. They provide wood for that campfire which was extremely helpful as our stove was dead in the RV, so we had to use it for cooking. Wonderful place to camp. Met the owner and she mentioned they do several events for veterans groups including the coming weekend. As a former Marine it was great to hear.

The cabin is in a quiet and secluded area. It has everything you need. All we brought with us were clothes and food. They have a gas grill ready to go and even have firewood for the campfire ready to go. A great place to stay!

Quiet and Relaxing

This was a wonderful place to unwind. The house had pretty much everything you could need. I was able to show up with just the clothing and food that I needed. I was there during the week so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. My favorite part was kayaking on the pond (kayak and paddle board provided). The host also responded very quickly to any questions I had. I would definitely stay again.

Pj's d+Paddles=a Perfect Stop!

The Birch Back-In RV site isn’t just a stop, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down without realizing it. The pond caught us first—quiet, glassy, the kind of water that makes you want to skip rocks and forget about time. The free kayaks and paddle board weren’t just perks, they were an invitation to get out there and live a little. We stayed, we breathed, we laughed. Tremendous place. We definitely will be back.

Peaceful dwelling.

We went for quiet and relaxation and it did not disappoint. Great tiny house. Everything was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots and pans you would need. Husband enjoyed the fishing. The screened in porch was used alot. Close to town and good restaurants. Sad to leave. Will definitely be going back. Had a hummingbird visit.

A perfect getaway

This was a wonderful place to stay. Secluded in a beautiful area that was quite and just overall relaxing. The hosts were very communicative and upon our arrival showed us where trails were, etc. Still close to Carlinville which has a Walmart, dollar general, and dollar tree for any items you might need. We really enjoyed our time here and extended literally our first night as we enjoyed the serenity it provided!

Beautiful Private Property

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. It was very well maintained and easy to navigate with our 34' motorhome. The pond was beautiful and we were able to use the provided kayak a few times during our stay. There was only one other rental site (the cabin), which was perfect for our RV-less friends to join us on the trip. It felt very private and quiet, which was great for letting the kids run loose. We enjoyed hiking the trails on the property and did a little fishing. The firewood was generously provided and was very welcome during the brisk spring weather. Communication was quick and helpful throughout the process. The hosts and site were perfect for what we were looking for this trip. Thank you!
