We had a great and seamless time staging on Aiden’s land for the weekend in an RV while attending the Illinois State Fair. He was very relaxed, accommodating, communicative, and kind and his family was so sweet too. Thank you, Aiden!

Really nice stay despite the weather. The street lamp was clutch, great addition to help setup after hours. Big open yard with privacy in the back behind trees if needed. Aiden was very helpful and kind as well. Would definitely come back!

We loved camping on Aiden's land. The property is as the photo shows, grassy, large and well kept, bordering forest. He came to meet us as we were driving in and was very helpful. Highly recommend!

The grounds of this family's large yard were well kept. I would offer the following:
It is difficult to read the street sign on the highway leading to the grounds. Perhaps the owners could use the corner bar-restaurant as a reference. (I ate a good cheeseburger there and had good service.)
I would appreciate a picnic table to sit after traveling. I realize this might not suit the owners as there are no designated tenting spots (perhaps by design).
As a motorcycle rider, I had no difficulty motoring to my chosen tent site, the same as another car-driving couple who camped that night. If I had a drivable camper or a trailer, I might be reluctant to enter the yard.
The railroad line is quite close, and I heard 3 trains pass through, and they offer lengthy blows from their quite loud horns.
The owner contacted me via Hipcamp in advance to leave some helpful details. I appreciated that a lot.
I don't plan to return to Springfield, as this was part of a bucket-list motorcycle tour of US 66, starting at E. Adams and S. Michigan, Chicago.

I very much enjoyed my camp on Aiden’s land! The spot was very easy to find and close enough to town for convenience but secluded enough for a quiet stay. He did a great job communicating with me before and during my stay and made sure I had everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend this stay to anyone and look forward to returning again in the future!

Aiden's field spots were the perfect stop on our way to Shawnee Ntl Forest! It was a clean and beautiful spot for us and our kiddos. Parking was super simple and level too!
Aiden his husband were so sweet and welcoming. We also had a chance to meet Aidens "Grannies" who were the most kind and wonderful ladies, it really made our stop fantastic. Our kids appreciated the bubbles that the Grannies gave them and had a blast running around the field chasing the bubbles all over.
We would definitely stay here again if we're ever in this part of Illinois - highly recommend!

Aiden provides what he promises. His descriptions are spot on. This was just what I needed for a Springfield stay to enjoy the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, which is also fantastic!

Our experience was quite good. Aiden is a nice efficient host. I was pleased to find a level spot that didn’t require any leveling bricks. My only complaint is the train noise which the host cannot change.

Honestly the hosts are such sweetie pies and we will most definitely come back again. We moved from out of state and they’ve been so nice to deal with. The property is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained which just adds to the comfort. Aiden is kind and very understanding, has answered many questions I had about the area along the way. We even added an extra night for convenience on our end and the spots were available so he was very gracious about the last minute change up.
