We had a wonderful time. The cows greeted us every morning, and the breeze at the top of the hill was great. The space is scenic, well-kept, and has good accommodations.

It's a smaller campground. There's a town 5 min away so if you need stuff, it's easy to get to. Liked the pond. Our spot was difficult to back into. We liked stating there. There isn't much shade so plan accordingly.

Been here twice. Thank you for letting us stay. Nice place that is well taken care of. Unfortunately we will not be coming back as this year wasnt the same. There's a family living in between all the sites so they say quiet time is at 10 but the paper in the bathroom says 11. Which okay understandable for quiet time but we had a big family with about 15 kids and the point of us taking our camping trip is to relax, have fun and NOT have a quiet or bedtime for our kids on a weekend. We just wanted to have a good time. If I would of known this before, we wouldn't have booked here. I honestly don't think they should be renting this place with the rules they've put in place. I understand there's now rules because of the family that lives there but it just isnt fair to us that are paying our hard working money to enjoy our time and we cant fully do that. There are all type of campers, loud, not loud, big and small groups. We are a big group but also respectful. We love to have a great time as a family, especially on our yearly family camping trip but unfortunately this is not the place to be 100% comfortable. Also, Ann the owner, I understand if people leave their stuff in the bathroom & putting it aside on the table or chair you provide for space. Instead grabbing everything & putting it on the floor is disgusting. Kids towels and loofahs on the floor. It would of been nice to be told before and we go get them ourselves. Unprofessional & disrespectful. Kevin the husband was great!

Love everything on site! The kids had an absolute blast at the beach and in the water and on the playground. Quiet and perfect for our family trip. We rented 3 spots due to 3 families coming but the spots are roomy and may have only needed 2. Firewood and eggs we ordered from here were waiting for us when we got there too. Would totally recommend and possibly go again.
State park is a quick drive for.more places to explore :)
Be careful to note - there is only a 50a power hookup - bring your own adapter if your camper is a 30a
The hot water is rough in the shower. It was going from ice to burn back to ice. In the middle of that you would get about 5-10 seconds of warm but the cold was cold and the hot was a tad dangerous, especially for the kids.
Flies!! Bring some sort of fly trap or tape for your camper. It is a farm after all and I'm used to bugs and skeeters while camping but dang I was not prepared for this. Doesn't change my opinion of how awesome it was, just letting yall know to be prepared.

We had a nice stay at this quiet and restful spot sitting on the top of a hill overlooking fields and gently rolling hills. The property was beautifully landscaped, and the pond was a hit, especially for the kids; they had hours of fun in the water.

We loved our campsite. Ann was a great host. The farm eggs were awesome. There was no shortage of things to do. There were a few hiking trails close by, we spent an afternoon in Galena but most of our time was spent swimming, fishing and catching frogs. This was a great trip and we will definitely be back.

Went tent camping for two nights for the first time since when I was a very young child, I hardly remember it, but this time was a wonderful experience! I'm so glad they allow dogs, as I could bring my two babies. They have a nice little pond where you can fish (I didn't catch anything, sadly, hahah) and you can also swim there! They had a nice little fountain on, too, on the hotter day, which was nice. They have a fire pit, a little park, and cows that seem to visit every morning on the other side of the fence! Such cuties! Anyways, great first time campsite! Hosts were so nice, too!

Awesome stay in a beautiful location. Everything in the listing is accurate. We were allowed to borrow a 50 to 30 amp adapter for power. Take advantage of the fresh eggs.

Camping here was very nice! I spent one night here and would definitely come back if I come back to Illinois! My camping spot was mowed short and the fire pit was ready for use! (Although I didn’t make a fire).
The neighboring cattle were quite curious but stayed back from the fence line so it was fun to watch them!
The bathroom was nice and clean and I was appreciative of the refreshing cold shower!
The host, Ann, was very responsive and helpful!

This was our first time camping and we absolutely loved it! We stayed at Linden Campground and had the best experience. The place was super nice, clean, and peaceful. The owner was so friendly—we really enjoyed talking with her. She made us feel welcome right away. We’re already thinking about coming back. Thanks to Hipcamp for helping us find this hidden gem!

Second stay was absolutely awesome, host, site, facilities all well worth the trek. They are definitely putting alot of care in to this, what with all other things they have going on they make it work. Stayed at Plymouth rock with a tent, but had power and water worth buying a 50amp converter love their property they have a treasure spot.

So peaceful. Driving off the beaten path of small towns and rolling farms- picturesque! Stopped here for one night. It was great because in the hot of the day I was plugged in for ac and at night the cool breeze and starry sky was amazing. I would stay again. Hosts were very nice and it felt like I was a guest on their land- very welcoming.

It was the perfect getaway, we stayed one night and had an awesome time getting to swim in the pond and the bathroom was so easily accessible with a full shower. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful property, amazing views, stocked pond. A bit confusing to navigate, not very private. We had a nice couple days, no regrets, but probably won’t be back without a couple small changes/improvements.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this place. We ordered farm eggs and firewood in advance. When we arrived at the campsite, Mr. Kevin had already prepared everything for us. Very beautiful location, there is a pond on the campsite where you can sunbathe and swim. Clean and comfortable shower and toilet. The campsite is also very clean. If you are looking for a campsite in this location, I recommend this farm. Thanks to Mr. Kevin for your hospitality!

The sites on Kevin's land were nice and large, plenty of room for two tents and our badminton net. The pond was great for swimming with two paddle boats available. The most memorable part was the free range chicken that kept visiting our site! Thanks Kevin!

We had an incredible weekend here with our 5 year old. The sunsets were AMAZING and unforgettable! We fished in the pond catching tons of bluegill and sunfish, as well as a couple bass that my daughter was ecstatic about! The campground was clean, quiet, with free range chickens that stopped by our picnic table throughout the weekend hoping for some snacks. We even got to wake up one morning to see a mother cow feeding her calf right up close at the neighboring property. My daughter named the calf “Sapphire”. The bullfrogs called to each other at night and the night sky was filled with stars! The Thriving Thistle Market is less than 1 mile away for any last minute things we had forgotten, and we stopped there for a fantastic meal of smoothies and “Ferdie’s Flatbread’ appetizer. We hiked the “River Route” at nearby Apple River Canyon State Park where we saw no one else on the trail and waded in the gentle rapids at the end of the trail before turning back. The state park was a BEAUTIFUL place to hike! I highly recommend staying for at least 2 nights at Linden’s to fully appreciate all it has to offer.

Overall this is a wonderful campsite and I love the open air, the farm animals near and on the property (cows, ducks, chickens, etc). This was the second time we stayed at this location and I think we were spoiled the first time we came here. What could be improved? Label the site locations so people have a good understanding of where to go. Ensure electric sites have the standard hook ups or have converters ready. We did not have a converter and it took a few hours to get someone to bring one over. On a 90 degree day, this made us very nervous about making sure we would have electricity for the weekend. I also received a message from the owner after about an hour after we were using the fire pit by the beach indicating that that fire pit was only to be used with special permission. This was not indicated anywhere. We were also told we needed to be done with the fire pit by quiet hours (but this was sent to us at 7pm, when quiet hours started at 11pm). Ultimately we were allowed to use it, but it was approached weirdly. We were done and in bed by the time quiet hours were in place, but again it seams like they may have had some trouble here before. The first time we came, we were greeted by staff and it felt very much like a family run, friendly team, this time it felt like everyone was out of town, hard to get a hold of anyone, and very delayed responses when messaging in the app. No deal breakers, but don't plan on booking this location again soon.

My family and I spent a long weekend at Linden campground. We enjoyed most of the trip and received the firewood and eggs we requested. However, while the property was beautiful with plenty to do there were a few things that were problematic:
1. The bathrooms were not clean - I expect a few bugs but not dozens covering the floor and the shower had not been cleaned since the last group of campers, lots of grass and just dirty. It was clear they were not checked daily if at all.
2. There is not sewer hookup at this campground even though the host said that we could pay extra for it via message. It wasn't listed so expected to pay on site. However, the only hookup on site is their trailer rental and not reachable. The workers seemed to think that we didn't want it even though we asked about it and didn't address the issue that they really don't have it available.
3. Communication was not great. It seemed the host wasn't really around and we asked someone for a fire grate who didn't know where they were and eventually found it on our own. The people on site didn't seem to understand that their sites were meant to pull into as otherwise the hookups would be on the wrong site. So be aware you need to pull in to site 2 and 3.
4. Other guests walked through our site all weekend. So don't expect great privacy.
All this to say the location is beautiful and was great for kids to play and enjoy the outdoors but management of the site needs some work.
