Tent Camping Behind the Barn
I was traveling from New England to Colorado with my dog in my pickup truck with a topper during a cold and snowy November. The hosts generously allowed me to park in their equipment barn so that I was out of the wind which made sleeping in the truck much warmer. A quiet location that was not far away from the interstate, This was a great find since same day reservations & walk-in reservations are no longer available at most State Parks that typically require three-day advanced reservations.

Camping at Jennifer’s on Goat Hill was awesome. The property was beautiful, and the hosts were excellent. It was so cool to see the goats. There’s a gas station right down the road that’s open 24/7 which was really nice. I will 1000% camp here again when I am back in the area. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Perfect overnight spot to camp.
This was a great overnight spot. Close enough to ride bikes into town (restaurants, library, etc). We enjoyed meeting the dogs, cats and goats and really appreciated the water and electric hook-up as well.

Jennifer and her husband were great hosts. Their property is well kept and has a nice trail to walk on after a along day in the car. I would highly recommend this peaceful spot.

Jen & Dennis are amazing and their property is beautiful! They are such gracious hosts and we had a great time playing with the dogs and goats. Lots of private space to spread out and enjoy the views. Would definitely go back.

Awesome land and camping
Loved camping here. Jen and her husband are amazing hosts! They were super accommodating to my 6 yr old son and myself. We had such a great time. Their goats, dogs, and cats are so adorable and friendly. My son got to ride his bike all around their dirt path around their property. I hope my travels bring me back one day bc I would definitely stay again!!

Out of 5 stars, I give it a 10!
Jen and Den were the perfect Hosts! Loved seeing the goats and dogs and kitties. A beautiful location, high on a bluff. Tranquil, peaceful, quiet. The whole town and area were very friendly!! Shout out to Anna at Grandma's! Definitely will go back!

RV Camping on Goat Hill
Jen told us that the usual camping area was very muddy because we were there in the very early spring. So instead, we were able to park on her paved driveway next to her house. It was actually very private there, we had a lovely view, the stars were brilliant, and it worked perfectly for us since we were just overnighting on our way south.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. The animals were so sweet and made the trip exciting for our kids. They also loved picking apples and pears. We found a really nice pumpkin path not too far away and had a great weekend. The host family was extremely friendly and helpful.

A awesome camping experience
From the time i booked my stay until I pulled up to there site without a doubt a very peaceful and quiet place to camp at. I have been camping for many years and every other hosts would treat me in the manner that jen and Dennis did ....this world would be awesome. No issues water supply or leveling out...very friendly people around just over best experience by far. If anybody is looking to camp at there place...don't think about it just do it i am definitely glad i did. I definitely will be back soon

Great manicured area to relax and u
The area sits at the end of the road so its super easy to pull up and we were greeted by Jennifer and her husband right away. They showed us the area that was leveled but let us pick anywhere we wanted. There is a bit of a pull around that is decent to stay at the end of the trail that was more secluded for next time. Nevertheless, a great, well kept, manicured area to enjoy nature.
Nothing but beautiful hilly country around when you go all the way to the back by the crops. Amazing space to be in coming from the city allowing us to unwind and disconnect into a land you wouldn't think is so close to Chicago.
