The site is pretty much what we expected as based on images from the website, but it was also much more. We had an unfortunate event or three prior to arriving, let the host know our pop up was not working properly but we had a tent. She was welcoming and friendly. it is difficult to put into words the calm I felt sitting on the patio feeling the cool breeze off the pond and listening to the music of splashing water. Another "wow" moment was the fact that the host had a family party on the private area across the pond and we really didn't hear much at all. The bathroom/shower was clean and the water was hot. the sites are new gravel, so keep toes and soles in mind. the play area and firepit seemed inviting. This place is highly recommended.

Place was amazing. It was easy to find and pull into. Crystal was very attentive to made sure we had contact if we needed anything right away. It was very pretty and peaceful. Bonus, all the other campers staying there were super friendly! Would definitely go back if in the area again.

Nice, clean camping facility. Holiday weekend Saturday night only. Only one other family camping. We appreciated the peacefulness. Full camping amenities ( electric, water & sewer hookups) plus onsite restroom, shower & laundry room if needed. We enjoyed utilizing the fire ring. Beautiful evening to sit by the fire. The host responded quickly when we had a question about how to use the water system. We stopped on our return to from Branson MO to Ohio. We would stay again without hesitation.

Peaceful Place

All the reviews are correct about MC Lodging being peaceful and quiet. I never met Crystal while we stayed. So I cannot comment on the host. Pros-campsites are pretty level, making it easy to get the camper just right. The catch and release pond is enjoyable. The smell of honeysuckle in bloom all around was so pleasing. Cons- only one shower and one toilet, which isn’t a huge issue, but they are when one person needs the toilet and someone is in the shower, because they are both in the same room. Or vice versa. Also, there wasn’t any toilet paper, hand soap, or a way to dry your hands in the bathhouse. I prefer not to utilize the camper toilet for #2 unless absolutely necessary so I packed a roll from our camper up to the bathhouse. It was empty by the end of the stay so I know it wasn’t just my family using the roll. Maybe it isn’t customary to have those kind of items stocked. If it isn’t then please over look what I said. All in all, we did enjoy ourselves very much. We did pack up early due to rain coming in off and on so we wanted to go ahead and get headed home. I would recommend staying there if you are passing through and want an easy place to stop and camp amid the peace and quiet.

Crystal’s land was a perfect spot for our overnight stop on a cross country road trip. The campground was very quiet and we had a restful night. The hot shower was a bonus! It had great water pressure and the whole place was spotless. I’d stay again.

Very clean and inviting campground. All nice level gravel, and Crystal is a great host. She is very accommodating. If passing thru this area definitely a great place to stay .

Had a quiet week outside of STL

Super private park with a pond and playground. We stayed over in the short term lot and had a ton of grass to run our dogs on. The laundry facilities were cheap and clean. Park is on a really quiet farm road but it is really easy to get big rigs in and out. Lots of room to maneuver and pull around.

This campground worked well as a home base for two nights during the solar eclipse. The bathroom and shower were clean and I really appreciated having them. Just make sure to bring your own toilet paper. Also, if you are sleeping in your car (like I did) or tenting it, there will be a lot of lights nearby from streetlights in the campground, porch lights from cabins on site, rv’s that leave their porch lights on all night, and the hundreds of acres of lit-up oil/gas storage tanks just to the north. So, bring window shades or a sleeping mask. I met the owners briefly, and they were friendly. I would stay here again if I was passing through.

This campground is so beautiful! Also, the owner is so incredible she pulls peace loving and kind people to her. There aren’t many tent campers so she was super flexible with us. A terrible storm came and blew our tent away. Since we were traveling for the eclipse we had no where to go. We moved the tent under the shelter so everything could dry. All of the campers had to come to the shelter for the restroom. Everyone was so kind and considerate even though we were taking over the shelter area. I would camp here again in a heartbeat!

Relaxed RV getaway

MC is a quiet and spacious campground with cabins, a restroom & shower, and a laundromat. There's lots of room for kiddos and doggos to run and play. We had a huge choice of campsites to choose from and spent an enjoyable and relaxed night. Crystal is a laid back and friendly hostess. MC Lodging was a pleasant stay.
