This is an 82 acre property of approximately 65 percent old growth forest, 20 percent row crop and 15 percent of alfalfa/vegetable garden. It is a working farm which naturally takes people, but it is unlikely you will encounter any other campers. Please keep in mind, the only running water is the creek and the only electricity comes from a single solar panel. We truck water in for showers and provide enough port-a-potties to match the event. We've hosted groups up to 150 and could easily handle twice that amount. Most of our promotors have done this before and have a pretty good idea about what they want. We can assist with local knowledge. There is a natural amphitheater for concerts. We can arrange for a generator or catering. Tenting for groups up to 250, monster wall of sound, fireworks displays, video/drone event coverage, bodyguards, we've done all that. We have a deep bench of resources in the community and we're glad to share them. Terms to be arranged.

Tent · Group trip

Our favorite place to be!! Larry and crew are the absolute best. Second year of doing our Labor Day group trip here and we will definitely be coming back every year.

Owls in the woods

26 ft pop-up camper

This was perfect for my pop-up. The Barred Owls went crazy overnight and the spots at the bottom of the field are great for listening to the creek. It was very peaceful.

Group trip

We had a really nice time with our families camping ⛺️. We were able to have our tents spread out, dogs with us and our parents stayed in the building. Some things that might be helpful as you plan your trip: -think of the building similar to a tent, bring your bedding and mattresses, heater if it’s cold, its basic a structure for shelter -fire pit is more of a bonfire style and far from the building area -there is a nice trailer to set up your kitchen area with some shared supplies -lots of area to walk -good to bring a canopy for shade -there is a porta potty available and it was clean -if you set up your base camp by the building you are closer to the road, Which you need to be careful if you have dogs -we were alone for our group which was really nice -owner is available and responds quickly, stopped by daily to check in

Group trip

Beautiful property, easy communication with owners, and lots of space for a large group. Will definitely be going back!

Very primitive - would recommend choosing BLM land in the area instead, as you’ll get about the same accommodation for free!

Beautiful, peaceful property. Clean porto-potty & cold water shower (which we didn't use). We were traveling on motorcycles & tent camping. This area was perfect for us. We meet Uncle Lar & learned some history of the property. There was a train horn occasionally. We would stay again if traveling near by.

Perfectly Peaceful

With pets

My family and I wanted to go camping over the Fourth of July weekend. Normally, since we didn't enjoy crowded, busy campgrounds, that would have been a no-go for us. But I randomly stumbled on this place, realized it's within 30 minutes of several places in the quad cities that we enjoy, and I was sold! You truly get the whole place to yourself. Peaceful, relaxing, the stars shine bright at night!! There's spaces for the kids to explore, and our dog was happy to run and sniff around. Bonus, the port-a-potty was sparkling clean. Thank you--would camp again!!
