Downfall no signs to distinguish where to turn into the site and no restrooms.

Off Grid Getaway…
This undeveloped lot is amazing in terms of setting to enjoy while relaxing.
Wild peacocks and Turkeys regularly visited.
Amazing views. Nice large level area, dirt.
Great for 4x4 vans, pickups, SUVs, CUVs and AWD vehicles, if towing an RV trailer, know that this place it way off the beaten path, and has some very steep asphalt switchback roads, 4WD Low needed and I’d say 27’ max trailer length. It was a challenge getting out.

What a beautiful place hidden in the Bay. A wide video of Silicone Valley to marvel at from a nice distance. There was plenty of space for my travel trailer and we had room to setup a screen and projector. I will be coming again in the future. So nice to have this close by.

My daughter and I had a great time. We were surrounded by wildlife and had a fantastic view of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. Peacock can be a little bit mischievous and loud, but they are part of the adventure.

No bbq on site as described so we were hungry and had spikes food.
No communication in relation to the texts I sent just before and when I got there.
No person to do a tour with the animals at checkin or check out

Safe- I have never been more relaxed camping as a single woman with my kids. The dogs adopted up as part of their herd, so we had plenty of protection and love.
Convenient- This was the perfect spot to use as a base for going to Scott's Valley one day and San Jose the next. Left Friday after work- instead of feeling ill-prepared, it was 20 minutes from anything you could need. We literally got takeout one night! Perfect winding drive up to the hilltop so that it was quiet and peaceful. Felt far from civilization because of the beautiful drive up the hill- road is nice enough to drive in the dark.
Private- Loads of space, you are set off a ways from Chastity's barn and home, so you don't feel like you're just in some random backyard.
Laid back- We could come and go with the barn and the horse riding without it feeling like a summer camp or something you had to be somewhere on time. Just kind of a "whenever you're done with breakfast" kind of thing. And you didn't feel like Chastity was watching the clock till you left- it felt more like visiting an old friend (who happens to have a really rad yard).
Genuine- Each of my kids (9 & 12) are their own unique personalities and Chastity had a teacher's gift for connecting with each kid and making them feel confident and have their own best experience. We got a chance to really get to know the horses. The horses can handle more weight than the tour-type riding trips, so Mama gets to ride, too :) Not a cookie-cutter experience.

We loved the view! The water is sourced from a mountain spring and is so fresh and delicious. Several of the horses are let out into the pasture that's shared with the campsite sometimes and my toddler delighted in seeing them walk around. They never came into the campsite and were lovely to watch. We bought horseback riding lessons from Chastity and she was amazing! My toddler and my niece and nephew were both scared of the horses at first but Chastity was very patient and knew just what to do to calm the kids and let them pet and feed the horses. By the end, the kids were riding like they've been doing it their whole lives. So much fun for everybody!

The campsite at Tucker Ranch is set high on a mountain overlooking silicon valley. The view is breathtaking and peaceful. There are quite a few horses that grazed the field while we were there and one to two peacocks strutted around. The drive up has some twists and turns and steep grade so take that into consideration when booking this campsite. The road is a combination of chipseal and dirt and our campervan made it up fine. I recommend heading up before dark so you have good visuals of the road and catch the sunset! The campsite offers a flat area, perfect for van and tent camping, as well as a BBQ and picnic table. Chastity offers an extra experience of a horseback riding lesson which would be a wonderful thing if staying more than a night. I recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a getaway within the bay area and to enjoy sweeping views.

Such an amazing setting and view, and Chastity was a great host and very welcoming! I loved the horses and peacocks roaming around. The drive up was definitely intense with some steep and windy hills, but my 95 Ford Van made it up.

She rented the same camp ground to other people for the same night that we have rented! We set up our tent and went for a hike. When we came back at 4:30, there were another family which said that they have rented the camp ground too, the very same campground which we rented because of the view she shows in the pictures. When we reached out to host, she took us in middle of nowhere ( it wasn't a campground, no view, no water, no bathroom, nothing for us to cook, just a random place in middle of trees. When we said that we rented the campground, she said that it has been rented to that family too, and if we want, we can leave and she will give us a refund! We drove for more than 2 hours to get there and we already were tired after a long hike, what choice we had? We just slept where she showed us and we left the next morning. It was an obvious fraud. I hope Hipcamp support takes care of this issue. It's not just about money, it was 4 people's time that has been wasted.

We used to go to state parks for camping so we didn't really know what to expect there. Chastity was very kind and tried to offer things we needed. The view was great and my children loved the animals there. If we had our own trailer, we could have enjoyed more. For other campers, I would recommend to bring enough water to drink and a potable toilet for children. We would love to visit there again.

I absolutely loved the view and the presence of the animals all around! Going to sleep and waking up to the view of San Jose was very nice. Also, because of the altitude, we are above the fog level, so the view is not obstructed. Only thing is I have a long 35ft RV, I definitely had to detach the car I haul behind to make my way up. The last hill was deadly and couldn’t make it up and had to back up. If you do have that size of vehicle maybe ask Chastity for the alternative way to the spot through her private property. Smaller vans will definitely make it, albeit on first gear.

Tucker Ranch was awesome! Chastity is a great host. She was very good with our kids, showing them how to be safe around the horses and letting them help with the feedings. The view at the ranch is amazing. You can see the whole valley. And my kids also loved playing with the dogs. The German Shepard became our best friend. We can't wait to go back!

The view is amazing and overall I recommend it! My partner (who uses a wheelchair) and I stayed for two nights at Chastity's place. Chastity was great about asking us about accommodations and was very welcoming of his service dog. Unfortunately, despite her friendliness I would not recommend this site for someone in a wheelchair. Her property is on a hill that is too steep and rugged for a wheelchair user. We also had to move the tent twice (at night). Once to move to a shadier place and the second time someone pitched their tent about 15 feet from our tent and we could hear every conversation of theirs and felt we had no privacy.

Chastity’s property is absolutely gorgeous! Incredible views and beautiful horses. Her dogs were very sweet and fun to play with at the site. Chastity was very nice and definitely cares about the campers. That being said, communication with her may be hard considering she is often working on the property and there is limited service. So if you are planning an important event, just be sure to try your best to solidify plans and communicate clearly with her before arrival to prevent miscommunication. My partner and I tried to do the ride and wine experience but didn’t get the chance to do so because she got busy and we couldn’t get a hold of her. However, we were able to get a full refund which was very much appreciated!

Chastity's camping location is a great spot to throw up your tent and hang out. The views from the location are beautiful, you can see all of San Jose and more.

Host was very nice and accommodating. Was very responsive to questions and came to meet us although we got in pretty late.
Site has good views and is rustic - it is pretty minimal if expecting more. There was a clogged outhouse (but another bathroom option was a short hike away) and for camping the ground was mainly dirt (and a little bit dusty) with not great flat spots. Could see it being not that great if it rains or is windy. Lots of peacocks around - which didn’t bother us but they are a noisy bird. But matched what was advertised. Thanks for hospitality!

Chastity was a great host. Our family had a blast. There was a little something for everyone My kids loved their time with the horses and her dog's. My wife got a kick out of the peacocks on the property and the deer on the way up. The great open space was a welcomed sight and the city lights at night were quite the view. We look forward to returning here again. Thank you for your hospitality.
