As pictured this is an open fairly flat property with a small building that has a toilet and sink with cold water tap. We stayed for three nights. Code on the gate made it easy. Directions were accurate we did not see or need to interact with our host. As other people mention there is no river access. It is worth mentioning that the other private lots on this road are also Hipcamp, or other people are camping on their property, so it was no fault of the host, but it wasn’t particularly quiet or private. You can see and hear cars on South Fork Rd., but there aren’t many so it’s not much of an issue. There is a great big fire pit and a nice grate for cooking over the fire. Bring your own firewood. This is a beautiful part of the country and there are so many trails to explore in the area.

Overall the site itself is good. Clean and flat ..great for tent camping. Convenient having the bathroom and sink in the tiny house. And the location is close to sand camp beach and other river access. I didn't read closely enough about the site prior ( not the host fault) and assumed this site had a river view at least. It does not. So just note NO river access at all, or view. Its also right off the main road so not as private as I would have liked.
The fire pit was awesome. 2 sections in a massive rock lined ring- one for grilling and the other for building a bonfire. Blackberries were plentiful and delicious - sweeter than the ones I'm used to in Oregon.
The restroom cabin was a nice touch. Looks like a shower is in the works. It's always nice to have a flush toilet, especially after a full week vault/pit toilets.
There were three spigots with fresh water, and a nice clearing in the trees by the fire pit, which made a perfect natural window for viewing the stars. We were able to see 5 meteors at the tail end of the Perseid before the clouds rolled in.
I'm excited to stay here again and see where Kam goes with the buildout! Thanks for sharing your little slice of land with us.
Kam has a great site. There was a perfect trail I took my dog on just a two minute walk down the road. The blackberries were giant and juicy. And the site was in the shade most all of the day.
Kam's camp was close to the Redwood State and National parks but far from the crowds. We stayed here three nights and had the space to ourselves, however there were close properties that also had campers staying during our time, but they were not loud. We loved having a toilet and sink to our disposal and enjoyed evening visits from the local deer family. Unfortunately, we did not have access to the river that we had hoped we would have and the mosquitos were quite bothersome, but neither of those things were something the host could control. I would stay here again and recommend it as a great alternative to the crowded campgrounds nearby!

Me & my pup had a wonderful stay at Kam's property. We pulled in later than expected, but the self check-in made it easy with clear steps to enter the campsite. Having a bathroom and running water was perfect for our setup! I tried to access the river as noted in the listing, but neighbors mentioned it was private property and didn't allow us to go down there. However, theres river access at Sand Camp just down the road, and we enjoyed a peaceful dip in the River.
Great spot, would go there again. Just FYI, there's no wifi, which is generally great but make sure you take care of any business before you get there.

River was beautiful but the neighbors on way to River were actually not friendly and followed me and my dog back to the site and looked through the gate and watched me for about 10 mins. It was weird I took photos of this for proof and I almost left but decided to not let that ruin my night. Unsure if only a few neighbors are ok with it and some aren’t but we’re not kind as he mentioned in directions for stay.
This spot was great for our party of 4 with two self-contained camping vehicles. Be aware it is about 20-30 minutes from the town of Crescent City with no cell service. There is a bathroom and water on site which is great, and it’s easy to find. The side road from the main one is a bit steep and rutted out, so be aware if you have a lower clearance vehicle (driveway into the site is fine). We walked down the road to public river sites and viewpoints which were lovely. The host is responsive and helpful!
We had a great time! A clean campsite and a private bathroom. Kam was very easy to work with and the neighbors were very welcoming. 10/10 river spot I will be back. I’m not being paid to say this :)

What a treat this little spot was ! Even though you are right off the road, it still gives the feeling of being remote . We had no reception at all there, which was great for us but might not be for others. The cabin with a toilet is a nice additional comfort! The land itself is really beautiful and has wonderful energy! It was a short , last minute stay and we didn’t end up checking out the river spot, which I regret. Would definitely stay again ⛺️

Incredibly peaceful, close enough to get supplies, but far enough that you can really enjoy just being outdoors. Wish I'd remembered to bring a lighter,but otherwise a perfect stay.

Loved this camp site. The running water/toilet was great. Having access to the river was awesome. Camp site was clean with plenty of room for tents. Fire pit was perfect for everything we needed. Would definitely book this site again.

We had a fantastic stay. The site is beautifully maintained, private, and wonderfully quiet. It’s so secluded that our dogs were able to stay off-leash the entire time, and they absolutely loved it. The restroom was clean as well.
The path down to the river is a bit slippery, so be sure to wear proper shoes. Once you get down there, though, the water is calm, there’s no one else around, and it’s the perfect place to relax.
Kam, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. We’d love to come back if we ever have the chance.

The campsite was near a cool area of Smith to go swimming. There was a private bathroom and changing room. It was quiet. Thanks for having your spot!

Beautiful property! Peaceful and private yet very close to everything we wanted to see in the Redwoods. There were a few mosquitos at dawn and dusk, but the fire kept them at bay. Plenty of firewood was also provided! We saw three different deer- two young bucks actually came into the campsite. It was a magical place that we will have to come back to.

The camp wasnt as secluded feeling as advertised.. the adjacent properties were pretty run down and sketchy looking with trash everywhere. Tweaker vibes. We felt a little unsafe and decided to leave after much discussion at 1130 at night and got a hotel in crecent city. Better safe than sorry. The property itself wasnt bad and had some nice spots for camping. The shed door was supposed to be unlocked but wasnt which was fine but we were expecting easy access to the river, safety, and seclusion from humans. If I was with a big party I wouldn't have been as worried but it was just two of us and we got the creeps.
