This was our third trip and we had a wonderful time. My four year old got to feed the cows, chat to the pig and then fall in love with a snail which she sang to while sitting in a tree all morning. The farm is located right by a bunch of little wineries with beautiful views. Absolutely gorgeous. And the hosts are the kindest people you will ever meet.

Wonderful hosts on this small family farm. Enjoyed our space among the avocado trees. Our dog was fascinated by the cows and pig penned across the way and we had a great time visiting the neighboring local wineries. Everything that is great about Hipcamp!

Dave and Natalie, we’re very friendly, great hostess ! Picturesque scenery. Easy access. Quiet and very serene. Will definitely book again in the future.
Loved the scenic location in Highland Valley, convenient to hiking, several wineries and Safari Park. We hiked Clevenger Canyon and Lake Hodges, both a short drive away and took a day trip to the beach at Carlsbad. David and his family were welcoming and easy to communicate with. We would definitely go back.
So welcoming! Lots of space if you need to maneuver. Good people and trees and animals! Walking distance a cute winery. Love it! 🥰
Second trip here, this time bringing my older daughter and friend. We had so much fun! Explored some more of the local wineries and spent lazy mornings drinking tea and watching the cows. Total heaven. Again, electricity was great and cell service too.
We had the best time here. My daughter and I felt totally safe camping by ourselves and were happy as clams looking out the window of our camper at their steer, chickens, the sunset..
It’s a working farm but very quiet and our hosts’ daughter was kind enough to bring us a duck to meet. The hookups worked great and we had perfect cellphone service allowing me to use the internet to work.
It’s right in the middle of lots of wineries and if you want to keep the animal interactions going it’s an easy walk to zxq vineyards which has delicious wines and very friendly goats. 10/10 don’t hesitate to visit.

We had a great time at this hip camp. The property is beautiful and fully fenced so our doggies were nicely contained. We had both spots with our friends and it was perfect. David and his family were so kind and welcoming. Having so many wineries within 5 min was amazing. We had electric and water which made the trip so great. I would highly recommend.

remote beautiful area, hosts are great, and easy drive to hwy 15
If you have little kids you would like to keep contained this place would be great but if you are looking to Rome and explore this is not the place for you. You are stuck in a pen and can not explore the surrounding area except the roads:( probably the worst place we have ever camped unfortunately. The eggs were great and the walk to the winery was perfect. Just depends what you’re looking for.

Overall good experience. David and his children were very nice. Unfortunately we couldn't pet the animals much. Not paved but level enough surface. some shade with avocado trees. Good place to stop by but not great for families with toddlers.
We stayed for 14 days visiting friends in the area. There is many wineries around the corner.
The hosts are very friendly and all the animals are fun to follow.

Natalie greeted us as soon as we arrived. The location is beautiful and I felt completely safe coming there alone with my 3 year old.
The family is warm and welcoming, they brought us a baby chick and a duck to meet, and the cows greeted us every morning. The sunrise and sunset are absolutely to die for.
This place was perfect. Amazing views, great conversations with the owners and access to so many wineries.
A very lovely place and especially the hosts. The livestock and the beauty of the orchards as well as the quiet peaceful feeling that one feels there. Thank you for hosting me in my little teardrop.

Der Platz liegt Inmitten einer biologischen Anbaufläche: Avocadobäume, Orangenbäume, Reben.
Es ist ein einfacher Platz ohne Abwasseranschluss.
Die Gastfamilie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Had a wonderful weekend! What a beautiful spot. The farm and animals were absolutely charming, and it’s the perfect location for any activity in the San Diego area, especially loved the amazing wineries located so close with beautiful views of the valley. Thank you to David for being an awesome host!
We really enjoyed the site that David provided. We were in town for a Soccer tournament and it was the best way to unwind and recharge after games on this serene space.
The spot was level, minimal adjustments were needed to RV. The water valve has a pressure regulator and plenty of space to accommodate slide outs.
The spot was such a treat with beautiful morning and sunset views. Serene and peaceful.
David and his lovely family were the biggest treat. We’re very accommodating, helpful and simply good people.
We are beyond satisfied and would highly recommend this spot to anyone who appreciates nature and the simple things.
We are already planning another stay.
P. S.
Don’t forget to add in the fresh organic eggs to your booking!

David, Natalie, and their kiddos are some of the most awesome, welcoming people on the planet. Great stay on a pretty farm nestled in the heart of Highland Valley wine country. Cordianos, directly across the street, had some great Italian food and good wine. We'll be back!
The middle rv site was fully fenced so our doggos had so much fun roaming without leashes. We really enjoyed this full hookup site with additional $30 for dump. The drive to the site was absolutely amazing, wineries, olive farms and nurseries all around. The hosts were so kind and gave us half dozen of fresh eggs. Thank you for everything and we will be back!

David & Family were amazing! They opened the gateway to farm life and allowed us to get a small glimpse of their life with farm animals. The eggs were delicious, highly recommend. We had such a great time! It was a hot weekend but it was comfortable and shady under the avocado tree. We would love to revisit.
Great spot. Didn't have a chance to check out the surrounding wineries but there were a lot to choose from
It’s indescribable! You must experience it for yourself! We left with a new family member!! Check out the pics!

The atmosphere of the site was impeccable from the farm freshness/homestead feeling to the farm animals to the spacious spot to the kindness of the host. Our children loved the site just as much and got to learn/see/hear about different farm animals which was awesome. It was quiet and tranquil at night time.
Great campsite! So happy there was a fire pit on our spot. It’s not real camping unless you have a fire pit at night you can sit around. Our favorite was the walk up and down the dirt road lined with beautiful orange orchards. Also, the fresh eggs were awesome.

I loved the location, the cows, the eggs, this was a really cool and inspiring camp site
The hosts were outstanding and the spot was absolutely gorgeous! We had a wonderful time!
David and family welcomed me on arrival. Helped me back in and get settled. The farm fresh eggs are awesome! My stay was peaceful, relaxing, and quiet, except for the sounds of a typical farm land it's animals. Granddaughters had fun playing with the super friendly, beautiful cats. I would definitely stay again!
David's charming family welcomed us with a dozen beautiful eggs and all things farm life! We felt very comfortable settling in to our quiet camp and enjoyed the water and electrical hookups. The surrounding area is a great place to explore wine tasting and we were only 40 minutes away from La Jolla! We loved it here and would like to come back again some day.
