While most reviews highlight a peaceful and fulfilling stay, there are mentions of confusion finding the site due to a lack of signage, and some guests experienced issues with fire pits and amenities not being as expected. Nice camping spot just 6 miles outside of Atascadero California. Quiet and level.
They need some signage. Maybe its better in the daytime, but we arrived after sunset and the entire place was pitch black. Which is okay, but if you're located behind another house that doesn't look like its your property...you might want to put some signs up directing newcomers to your place. We were in a 4WD but the path wasn't paved and full of rocks, we feared popping a tire on the nissan rogue we had rented for the weekend for an open backyard space that didnt even look like it was a campground. My husband came to the conclusion that we were scammed. I'm nicer, I think these people just need some signs up. We never found the place and ended up sacrificing the money we paid and staying in a home depot parking lot for the most terrible sleep ever. So, yeah

Nice spot with an easy path from the highway. Beautiful open sky and quiet breezeway. Graham makes it a simple pull up and park. Thanks.
Was lucky to get 1/2 spaces on Grahams property at the last minute after Cerro Alto SP was full. What a blessing in disguise !Absolutely perfect! We didn't need water, toilet, power. Close to Atascadero , fabulous dinner at McFees, great live tent concert series, nice Templeton Farmers Market Sat morning. Met fantastic shop owners at Atrium Mercantile. Graham was good with me respectfully setting up my target to shoot my bow. Perfect weekend get away ! Wouldn't have been the same without our sweet quiet peaceful stay at Grahams. Thank you for sharing! We'll be back

It was quiet and the breezes from the ocean kept the air clean and cool. The stars were bright at night. We basically camped offgrid in our travel trailer. Water was provided. Atascadero was about 10 min drive. Graham, the host, was courteous and let us have our space. The camp has a eucalyptus grove so the shade kept us cool til about 3pm. After 6pm everything cooled down. What a relief from the Texas summers. Thanks to Graham and hipcamp.

We had a great stay on Graham’s field. With the field to ourselves our kids and dog loved being able to explore. We saw the Surfliner go by once while eating dinner and could wave at people in the viewing car. There was a pleasant surprise of deer across the field when we woke up. We enjoyed watching them graze. We would stay here again if in the area.
Just a wonderful stay. Graham greeted us as we arrived. Our site was perfect. Big grassy field with plenty of room for us and the dog. A nice fire pit with wood. We settled right in. Drove the next day to Cayoukus where we spent the day walking on the beach. Then back to Camp Seclusion where we met Grace,, Graham’s lovely partner. Moved on up the coast the next day but really loved our stay.
Nice quiet and welcoming spot. Amenities were as advertised, no surprises quiet night. Would revisit again for sure.
The stay was great! We stayed for one night and the property was easy to get to. There’s a table and fire pit at each campsite. We camped with our dogs and it was very easy. Only thing, there are chickens and livestock on the neighboring properties so keep that in mind with pets if your animals may bark throughout the night.
Beautiful field surrounded by oaks and eucalyptus. Lots of room for two camping parties without being on top of each other. Graham pulled out a fire pit for me to use and was super friendly. It was a great choice
The camp spot was secluded, and the view of the stars was amazing. I just drove in, parked and set up camp.
Unfortunately, the host could have better communication. I made a booking and included the extra fire wood and I did not bring a stove because I was going to cook with the fire. When I started to set up a fire, the host sent a notification that no fires are allowed.
Well there goes my dinner lol. Had to drive to a nearby In N Out as I couldn't cook any of my food.
It would have been nice to be told that I wouldn't be able to have a fire. They did mention that their yard has some weeds growing when I asked about if 2WD would be okay and mentioned they had cut it a few weeks ago. So I'm sure it was just a fire spreading risk.
It just would have been nice to be told, or else I would have brought my camping stove.
A great spot to camp - quiet with nice views and a very helpful host. Directions are clear and everything is as described.
We loved staying here! It’s very quiet (except for a couple of nearby roosters.) the meadow we camped on was almost all gorgeous blue Lupin and a line of Eucalyptus trees on the property line gave us all-day shade, but we dragg d our camp chairs out into the sunshine whenever we wanted to.

The site looked great and was in a great location but our plans changed last minute and couldn't end up staying there. The host was great and understanding and refunded us with the last minute pivot but plan on staying here on the future!
Very peaceful spot. We bought firewood in advance and Graham delivered it to the camp spot for us. It was so quiet and peaceful. We woke to the sound of the neighboring roosters, but kind of enjoyed it.
Graham’s father was there too and was also very helpful.
Would def stay again.

Nice place. Very quiet and owners are helpful. Big rainstorm came in and they lets us park on the side of the drive so our 5th wheel wouldn’t get stuck. Nice folks
Easy access. Quiet surrounds. But a very pricey for what you get.
When booking, we relied on the description that the site would have a 30-amp hookup for our trailer and accessible portable water. Upon arrival, we found neither of these amenities available. This left us in a difficult position, as we had to purchase a $600 generator on short notice—despite already having one at home—simply to power our AC in the extreme 99 degree heat. We also were with our children and dog so this was unacceptable. Also, upon arrival the host was not responding to our hip camp messages because the power was not even hooked up. After a few hours after check in time we finally knock on a trailer door and found him. Additionally, the lack of proper amperage when we hooked up caused our trailer’s slider to go off balance, resulting in an additional $300 repair expense. The host spoke with my step dad saying there was a recent fire and he was just “trying to make it work” when my step dad said that’s not ok to do (offer something you can’t provide) he offered a half refund but when I requested it from him on hip camp he denied it.

The site was quiet and peaceful, great view of the stars! There are farms all around which meant neighboring animals did make some noise, like the roosters in the early morning. I didn't mind, but if you're trying to sleep through that you might want some earplugs or a different location. I appreciated that there was a fire pit and picnic table available for use. As a solo female camper I felt safe and enjoyed my stay overall.

Overall the campsite was exactly as described. However there were chickens and roosters on the adjacent property who did what roosters do at 430am.

Parked with our camper van. This spot was quiet and secluded, although there were a few other campers nearby. Access to fresh water, shared campfire and beautiful stargazing.
Ok for a quick overnight. The directions worked ok.
No amenities per the listing which was as expected. We were just dry camping.
However it said it was ok to have a fire but we found the fire pit to be unusable due to not being fire safe. The fire pit has no dirt clearance - there was grass right up to the edge of the small pit and it is now officially fire season and starting to be dry. Some of the grass was not well mowed right up to the edge of the pit. The pit should have at least 3' of bare dirt around it. Cal fire requires 5' of clearance all the way around and a bucket of water available and there was no water.
Not a particularly welcome feel to the place overall but ok for a quick overnight as long as you don't need anything at all including no fire.

The area surrounding grahams home was very nice area short distance into town. The campsite is just as advertised. It has some really nice trees and level ground as well as some sloping. Very quiet neighborhood and overall, a good experience.
This site is perfectly sufficient and nothing more. Firewood that I requested was not prepared when I arrived; had to talk with the host who directed me to some piles around the plot I gathered myself. Chair and firepit are falling apart. For the price, I was overall disappointed but secluded spots in this area are hard to come by. If you are hauling/RV and can utilize the electric hookup, it is likely a much better deal.
