Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp is far more than your ordinary campground! Hipcamp’s Best in State 2025 🙂 This 104-acre Ozark Mountain wonderland’s biggest draw would be hard to pin down. We are offering off-the-beaten-path serenity, with huge areas for each rental space, and unmatched hospitality. Sip morning coffee while you lose your cares in the vast mountain views, enjoy the pristine natural beauty that surrounds you in the deer meadow. Hike trails that meander to the seasonal creeks and waterfalls, past ancient walnut and hickory trees, to rest on large rock formations thick with moss, or take the high trails to the top of our bluff where views and natural oddities reward you at every bend, or just lay in the hammocks by the frog pond with a good book. Wildlife abounds on this property, including fox, black bear, deer, chipmunks, groundhogs, bobcat, and tons more. We offer fantastic add-ons like creation stations where tables of art supplies can be laid out for either self-initiated projects or sample projects with instruction by hostess, Mizzy (a working artist with pieces in every continent, save Antarctica). Forage hikes, where you learn about the immense variety of edible plants, guided photo op hikes, cut and make your own walking stick (and make it your own by wood burning, adding leather and feathers), are just a few of the options we have daily to add to your stay. Close to the Little Buffalo River and the quaint little town of Jasper, where you can shop, eat at the famous Ozark Cafe, or rent a kayak. One-of-a-kind stays include a fully off-grid container tiny house, boondock RV space, 2 themed RVs (one a cool Silk Road inspired and the other a romantic vibe), the grooviest authentic hippy van glamper, plus super large tent spaces. We may be farther off the beaten track than those roadside places, but we are so very worth it. Come be Enchanted.

This is my personal favorite tent site! It’s set back from the other sites, surrounded by ancient walnut and oak trees. The view here is the most spectacular on the camp proper, snugged in on 3 sides by stoic mountains, and tucked close to the frog pond, it will simply take your breath away. It butts against the forest so tons of wildlife travel right past. Live edge picnic table set and rock fire pit keep the mountain vibe, but it has its own little grill too. Solar string lights wind up one huge walnut tree to give that magical feel even after the sun sets. Campers can use the communal camp bathroom, which is totally off grid (passive solar shower, compost style toilet and exterior hand washing station with solar lighting inside and out). Trails are close with art all along the way to the gorgeous seasonal creek.

The fully off-grid container tiny house sits on over an acre all to its own, in addition to the 104 shared acres, so you have plenty of personal space to lounge and play, even pitch a tent for the kids. Features porch, 2 twin beds with vintage quilts, off-grid bathroom (wash basin, composting toilet with additional use of camp flush toilets and passive solar shower available). No electrical outlets or climate control at this time. Lighting consists of solar, battery and rechargeable.  Plates, pots and flatware provided too. How bout the coolest bestie trip, or a mother/daughter weekend of lifetime memories? This themed stay, perched upon its own breathtaking site, looks out onto a green deer meadow, with 7 mountain ridges in view! Roast some marshmallows in the chiminea as the stunning Ozark sunset bathes you in its golden embrace. This was an oasis of beauty and healing. I was a solo female camper. Mizzy was a great host and I could see her working to maintain the camp to its beauty. I felt very safe. The hippy van was great. The bathroom was clean and I enjoyed all the special nature decor around the camp. Perfect views. Great fire pits. Loved the drive up the gravel road and back it’s breathtaking. Mizzy is there for you if you need her. Will be back. Thank you for letting me heal my heart and nervous system here this weekend! Peak fall leaves! My beagle Liberty enjoyed it too?

Mountain View Container, Off-Grid
I absolutely loved staying in the container tiny home. I loved that each campsite was pretty private! Mizzy was the absolute best host. I sure hated to leave and cannot wait to come back. The container was decorated so cute!! You can definitely tell this was a labor of love.

We had a wonderful stay at Enchantment Ozark Fairy Tale camp. The property is remote while only being a short distance from town. The sites are well spaced so even if you have neighbors you still have plenty of privacy. Mizzy was very friendly and helpful with check in and answering any questions we had. She brought a rake to clear up all the walnuts that had fallen from the tree so we would have a flat and smooth spot for our tent. She also brought us a trash can to use. The best part was how quiet and peaceful the whole area was. She is blessed to own such a beautiful piece of property and we're thankful that she shares it with campers like us. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Mizzy is great, she's got a strong free-spirited vibe but that doesn't mean she's all laissez-faire, she's got a strong spine and I bet she's happy to put people in line if they screw around. Not only does she care about her land, she cares about the people that spend time there, and is trying to create a place of peace in the world (and not just for you, dear reader). She deserves each of her 5 stars.

There aren’t enough stars in the sky for me to give to this stay! Mizzy is a wonderful “fairy camp mother” and the experiences were beyond description! Love the peace and quiet for reflection and even more so the ability to completely unplug from the world and just be one with nature. If you’re looking for the best and most relaxing time, this is the place!

My husband and I just spent a week camping at this incredible spot run by the one and only Mizzy, a true hippie fairy godmother, who has created something magical here. We stayed in the Meadows camping spot and it was absolute perfection. From the peaceful setting to the whimsical touches everywhere, it felt like stepping into another world. We only wish we could have stayed longer! It’s a place that fills your heart and soul with calm and joy. Perfect for couples looking to unwind or families with young kids who want to explore and play freely. Can’t wait to go back! 🌿💫

I loved my stay in Mizzy’s camp. She was cheerful and helpful. The property was enchanting with all of the whimsical touches throughout. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. This was my first time solo car camping and I felt completely safe.

Perfect Getaway :)

It was an enchanted experience, for sure. We stayed in the Container Home and it was absolutely perfect. It was nestled away from the other sites with its very own view of the magical tree line. Mizzy is the host with the most. Her presence and energy matched the peaceful vibes of the environment and she made sure we had everything we could need. Her land was absolutely beautiful, with just a short walk to the creek. The road to the campsite was a bit rugged, but small vehicles seemed to make their way to this hideaway as well as 4x4s. Definitely will visit again.

Enchanted is definitely the right word to describe this hidden treasure. My wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary and Mizzy had everything set up for us, our camper and campsite were so cute and tidy. We loved the trails on the property and on our last day we were able to leave our mark by helping Mizzy paint the hippie van!! Such a great experience, we will definitely be back!!

Missy was an amazing host! Very welcoming and great at communicating. The camp was so sweet, beautiful and well, enchanted! The campsites are very well maintained and spacious. Definitely take her up on the extra activities! We had a tea party in the forest, my girls got to dress up with Missy’s big box of fun clothes and costume jewelry. We also made woodland fairy crowns with her and my girls just loved both those experiences! I definitely recommend spending a few days here!

We loved our time here! It rained heavily and we loved it! It was peaceful and the trail was a fun quick little walk in the woods! It’s also nice that there is a clean bathroom as well. Definitely recommend!

Mizzy was the best! Super sweet and answered all the questions I had right away. All she asked was for us to let her know when we were about 15min away so she could give us the tour. The property was very well maintained and felt very cozy. We stayed at the tent camping spot and car camped. Unfortunately, we didn’t make time to check out the trails around the property. But based on the condition of the rest of the property, I would have to assume they were also well manicured and fairy like.

We loved staying at camp enchanted! It was so magical, beautiful, and breathtaking. The van was a work of art, the property was remote and quiet. The stars at night were so cool we saw shooting stars, the Milky Way! It was awesome we would love to come back here 💚💚

It's truly amazing. The host is great, we stayed in the van. Trails and land are well keptand private enough.,but also close to Buffalo! We will be back!!

My sister and I had such a wonderful stay here! The whole place felt like stepping into a whimsical dream, so beautiful, colorful, and full of charm. The converted van setup was absolutely adorable, with cozy, creative decor that made it feel special and inviting. We loved all the little details, especially the ones on the trails. The surrounding area was peaceful and breathtaking wide open green space, shaded woods, and views of the mountains that made it feel like a true escape. We even saw a few deer during our stay, which made the experience feel even more magical. The host was so kind and helpful, which made everything even better. You can really tell they put a lot of love into the space. It was the perfect spot to unplug, relax, and just enjoy nature and each other’s company. We’ll definitely be coming back. This place is such a gem!

I loved camping at this spot! The host was very attentive and offered to help us if it started down pouring (thankfully it didn’t!). I loved the pond area and had a fun time chilling and listening to the frogs.

My friends and I stayed for a quick weekend getaway and had an absolute blast. The views were beautiful, and there was so much to see and explore. Very quiet and serene. The stars and firefly’s were out in full force. We had zero phone service, which was great for us because our intention was to disconnect, but thought it was worth mentioning. All in all, Mizzy was great and so was our trip! We will 100% be back.

A truly Enchanting experience
Vintage 1966 Hippy Van “Wildflower”
Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. A true hidden gem! The van is thoughtfully decorated to provide a very comfortable and magical experience. At night, the stargazing was incredible — no city lights, just a sky full of stars. It was peaceful, safe, and incredibly relaxing. Firewood is available for a nominal fee, but bring everything else you will need with you.
