Sharita and her barnyard crew were fantastic hosts from the moment I arrived! I enjoyed camping amongst the chickens and ducks. The overall site was better than expected, with everything I needed. The porta potty was just a short walk way and was very clean, and I had access to a microwave and mini fridge, too.
It was pretty rainy and wet during my stay, but Sharita was extremely kind and made sure I stayed dry. She even set up a painting lesson in the barn, and I had a fantastic time learning from her!
I highly recommend staying at the barnyard and will do so again myself if I'm ever back in the area!

Sherita was such a welcoming host, and the spot is so cute! my stay was short but my dog and i had everything we needed and were very comfortable in the charming vintage trailer. definitely would return again!

We had the best stay at Sherita's site! The camper was adorable and stayed cool and comfortable even during a severe heat warning! The bed and cushions at the table were both super comfortable and we slept great.
Sherita was the best host! From fresh eggs, the cutest coffee bar with fresh coffee in the barn each morning, and wonderful conversation, she had it all! We loved taking with her and learning about and interacting with her animals. The outdoor shower had fantastic water pressure and was private enough that you didn't feel exposed.
The site is perfectly located for whatever you want to do. We were able to drive to Petit Jean for hiking, to Morrilton for food or supplies, or a little further to Conway for shopping and fun.
We HIGHLY recommend staying here and can't wait to see what the future holds for this site and Sherita!

Vintage Trailer Barnyard Camping
Such a beautiful and meaningful stay! The heater in the trailer was very powerful and despite it being cold outside, was nice and warm inside. Sherita was very welcoming and can tell you the story of how she got her start at the Barnyard; which belonged to her relatives decades ago. I too feel called to a nature-centered lifestyle and hope to be as inspirational as her some day. We awoke to a fully-stocked coffee station with fresh-laid eggs for breakfast. The chickens, ducks, goats, dogs and horse ensure constant entertainment during your stay. There was a fire ban while we were there, but Sherita provided lanterns so we could have some light in the evening; there are also solar string lights hung about. There are ticks, so beware if you have a dog, but she shared some of her tick spray since we didn't bring any; ticks are just natural to the area and her chickens eat a lot of them. It is rustic, but definitely would recommend!

I loved everything about the site! The vintage camper was adorable. Her dogs were so sweet. Having coffee with chickens was fun! We enjoyed our conversations with her. It honestly felt like we were just visiting with an old friend. Hickory is such a sweet horse, too! If you want a peaceful weekend surrounded by nature, animals, and wonderful conversation, book here immediately!

Cabin Camping in the Woods
Camping at Sherita's was a dream! So secluded and pleasant. Always available and interactive with us, asking about our day and working with us! My daughter and I got to enjoy a painting session as well! The animals were a delight and I know there are more to come! We would definitely come back! The hook up was easy (we used the RV site for our large Bell Tent) and the insta shower and potty accessible.

Cabin Camping in the Woods
Sherita was the hostess extraordinaire! She not only is kind and full of great information, she was so fun to be around that we ate several meals together and had wonderful campfire chats. The painting session was so relaxing that I want to go buy paints now! The animals were great and the weekend could t have been better. See ya soon farm girl!

Sherita is the best host ever! My wife and I had a lovely stay with her. Sherita is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She is such a kind human and our accommodations were excellent. We are looking forward to our next stay at the barnyard! Thanks a million Sherita!

Sherita has a very peaceful, relaxing place. The animals were friendly and it was calming to hear them around. Sherita was very accommodating and kind.
If you're looking for a place that's a bit off the beaten path but not off the grid, this is a good stay. And it's located close enough to make a visit to some state parks easy.
There is an outdoor shower and porta potty for use. It was clean and well maintained.

I stayed on the RV site in a travel trailer with my 2 grown sons. The site was equipped with full hookups and only minor adjustments for leveling the rig on gravel. Different kinds of animals ran free on the property which added to the rural farm ambiance.
However, the real jewell of the hipcamp experience is without doubt Sherita the host. We connected on first arriving onto the property and interaction was a natural flow during the stay. She has an interesting history and it was apparent that she and the farm were meant for each other. I also noticed that she was genuinely interested in all her guests and so grateful that everyone had chosen to reserve their spot for the TSE!!
Let me make a couple of statements about the TSE. I saw my first TSE with my youngest son and daughter in G'ville SC Aug 2017. My take away was I had experienced an astronomical display that didn't necessarily change my life but definitely and profoundly impacted me. I committed to be at the next TSE. Now I'm making plans to be at the next totality which will take place Aug 2027 in S Portugal/N Africa. I asked my oldest son after Monday's event if I had hyped, exaggerated, used hyperbolic & excessive language for the eclipse in G'ville....his comment to me was, "Dad, I don't think it was possible. The experience was rather spiritual." I agreed!!
The other biggie was meeting new friends and learning about their lives. We said our goodbyes with hugs & handshakes and mentioned to meet again in 2027 :)

We loved staying here! What a memorable and magical weekend. Sherita was an amazing host who communicated before and during our stay so well.
The trailer was very comfortable. I slept perfectly in the bed, and as someone with insomnia that was amazing in itself. It also had AC and a small heater, but we didn't need those much since it stayed cool in the shade and cozy at night.
She made sure we had everything we needed and then some. The animals are friendly and adorable. We enjoyed walking around the property and enjoying the wooded environment. Feels very solitary but it isn't far from Petit Jean or shopping either.
We honestly could not have asked for a more comfortable and incredible stay.
Not to mention we stayed for the eclipse and she made it such a magical and wonderful gathering of amazing people.
We are looking forward to the next time we will be able to stay out here!

This was one of our best trips ever! Sherita was very sweet and made us feel very comfortable. She even gave us fresh eggs to try. There is a big hammock outside the trailer on which you cab just lay down and look at the stars. There is not light pollution here so you can see a lot of stars. The camper was so cozy and just perfect, we didn't want to leave. The farm has lots of animals that you can play with. I would definitely recommend you to go for it. There is also a trail in the back with lights that looks absolutely gorgeous in the night.

Sherita’s land is a special place. We felt welcomed and at home as soon as we arrived. She and her animals treated us like family but kept their distance and allowed us to explore the woods and creek as we liked. I even walked to the neighbors to visit the cows for a bit.
This was our first time camping on a platform and I really hope that feature gets even more popular with hosts. It just makes everything easier and more comfy. We have an 8 person tent and it fit just fine, with extra room to use the edge as seating. There is water at each site and the communal shower is the best I’ve seen at a Hipcamp. The outhouse is kept very clean! We were also provided a camping toilet to use at our site since we were furthest from the outhouse. Oh, and the barn/she-shed setup was a lovely place to commune. We even ate our breakfast there one morning.
We are eager to go back to see what additions she makes. It sounds like she has big plans!
