This 20 acre property is dedicated to our horses, dogs and talking birds and relaxing! We have recently moved to 19D Cockatoo Valley so it's just the beginning. Tranquil and relaxing with local wildlife is what we offer you. You are welcome to wander down the hill into the big paddock and get a close up view of the big Solar tracking system that services the property, and continue on and explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras. The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one. Our sheep may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces the size of a 5 cent coin for them to eat. There are horses in paddocks toward the dam where wild ducks hang out, and you are also very welcome to say hello to them, but please do not enter their paddocks OR feed them. There are raceways between paddocks to continue your walk up the raceways to see the horses if they are out of view at their gates. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it! We now have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed. Small amount of bread or preferably small chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and watermelon! In time we will have them in a separate area like a petting zoo where you can come and go and sit quietly and enjoy interacting with them. Adult supervision please and no chasing them. Wait for them to approach you please. A family of magpies will enjoy any meat scraps you leave for them too. Camp anywhere on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season. Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away. Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat. We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options! Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works. As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after. Camping with the farm animals!
Great place for the kids to interact with the animals very peaceful and relaxing. Cheryl was a friendly host and we found her property to be a great alternative to a caravan park stay! Doesn't disappoint 🙌

Not private so we left.
We didn't end up staying in this camp due to the fact that it looked like it was on someone's drive way and this wasn't stated anywhere when we booked so we left immediately after arriving. There was absolutely no privacy at all but other than that, the surroundings looked beautiful and we just caught the sunset which was 10/10.

Fun to camp with my dog
The camp sites are great. It was beautiful to watch the people riding horses. The owner were accommodating and friendly. The kids loved the talking birds. While the kids loved running down the hill. It would be awesome if each site could have some of the surface flatter for tent camping. If your going camping in a caravan etc take some levelling platforms. We had to borrow some pavers laying around to levels our table and cooking platform etc. The dogs on site are friendly to interact with.
