But with modern convinces. 5 minutes from Gardiner, Montana - The North Entrance to Yellowstone & Yellowstone Hot Springs. We provide delicious well water! Little Trail Creek runs thru the property. There are two rooms in the cabin. Dining table, kitchen supply hutch & wood stove in the main room.Two queen beds, a small cot in the bedroom. There is one chandelier and 1 outlet in each room.
There is one extra cabin with one queen bed available for an additional fee. It is 4 feet from the homestead. It is only available for use by guests of the homestead cabin, so it is private.
There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2023. It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet.
Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site. Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. There are elk, deer, birds and other native wildlife on the property daily.

Weekend Trip to Starlight Retreat Yellowstone
Absolutely loved our beautiful glampsite on the way to Yellowstone National Park! Didn’t know it came with great perks like the welcome center, friendly staff, towels for showering, a community fire pit, a map, etc! Sure it can be colder at night with the high altitude but I slept very comfortably with the fuzzy blankets provided. It was such an aesthetic way to camp and I will never go back to regular camping LOL. Very responsive and friendly host, and super helpful and chill staff! One guy even gave me his personal floss when I had an “floss emergency” lol. Absolutely loved it here! 1000000/10 would stay again and bring more friends :)

Clean and very well stocked for a cabin. The sleeping bags and mattresses/cots on site were comfortable and clean. It’s remote, the stream is awesome to have nearby, the night sky is incredible with near zero light pollution, great fire pit, xl picnic table, lots of propane lanterns/burner/grill, I could go on for awhile. I didn’t get a chance to meet the folks who own it but they’re probably really great. Their cabin game is A+. I would note that this property is not for the total novice camper. You’d have to be atleast a decent driver to get a shitty little car or minivan down the path to the cabin but it’s no problem in an suv or truck. The cabin has everything you need to really have a great glamping base camp, your entrusted with a nice assortment of fire, propane accessories, fire pits, wood stoves, sharp stuff etc. Nothing here is stupid proof. Your don’t have running water, there’s no electricity and no fires if things get to dry. That being said it’s got plenty of water from the creek and various buckets, tubs, coolers and such along with a really cool old wash basin thing for your hands. There are a bunch of propane lanterns, mantles and fuel all stocked for light. Great options for cooking, grate over the fire pit, grill, and two large burners inside. We flew out and rented a car to explore the tri state area so we had very little with us. I would recommend a headlamp, some good food and maybe a few cold beers but you don’t need to worry about a whole lot else

Everything was great! We had some issues getting there because of road closures due to a fire, but they were very helpful with instructions for late check in. They had also texted us earlier in the day to check in and welcome us. The tipi was comfy and cozy and the shower houses were very clean and a short walk away. Very welcoming and chill atmosphere.

Our family had a great time staying here in one of the tipis. By far the highlight of our stay was the full view of the night sky. Camp host was great, and had everything we needed! Would happily recommend this for those seeking a more unique experience.

There were so many goods like pots, pans, silverware, camp chairs, gas lanterns, sleeping bags and pillows for the cots. It mightve been on me for being dumb and not realizing but I only wish i knew how much stuff was included i wouldve packed less

Greeted by a helpful and happy staffer for early check-in. The sleeping space was clean on entry. Beds/linens were clean and warm. Enough blankets and comforter heft to keep everyone warm dung a 42 degree evening. Bathrooms were clean. Outstanding stay! W Yellowstone 20 mins away. Would go back for sure.

Beautiful little spot! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved playing in the stream that flows right next to the cabin and hearing it at night while sleeping. Our dogs also enjoyed hiking around the property. Very close to the park entrance and lots of cute shops and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our time at Becky’s cabins and loved the privacy and beauty of the place. The listing isn’t very detailed on what’s available at the site but there is a LOT— we were pleasantly surprised by the TWO cozy cabins with wood stoves, a percolator for our morning campfire coffee, and details like lots of extra kindling and TP were really nice too. I had reached out to Becky ahead of time about my parents who hoped to bring their camper up and camp near us as I was unsure if that was allowed. Becky was very nice about it, but she was right— there was no way my parents could get their camper up to the cabin, because there is a drive-through barn with a 10-foot-tall opening that you approach at an angle, and leave on a hill, a little less than a quarter mile from the cabin. There is no driving path around this barn as the whole place is on a very lush section of mountainside and there simply isn’t any other way. They were willing to let us “try” to get through the barn but the camper wouldn’t have made it and anything larger than a teardrop trailer would probably struggle. They very generously allowed my parents to park on the other side of the barn, in a nice flat section of land, which we appreciated greatly! Additional notes: the gravel road leading up from Gardiner is 5 mi and washboard rough, and takes 10-15 minutes, then the final stretch to get to the cabin is about 3/4 mi further than the listed address, so you definitely need Becky’s directions handy! :)

Yes, it is a 6 mile drive over a washboard road. Yes, the country lane has pot holes and is slippery when wet. Yes, we would stay again without hesitation. We didn’t see anyone for the entire week which is exactly what we wanted…showered with water from the creek, caught the first rays of sun on the porch with coffee, and enjoyed quiet evenings around the campfire. There is wildlife around so keep a watchful eye out. Becky…what a rich inheritance to have a place like this in your family. It took our breath away, not only because of the altitude but because of the awe inspiring beauty. We are already talking about a return trip:) Thank you for sharing this idyllic space with us! The bell tents were so very cute and cozy! We loved the solar charging and lights! The beds were extremely comfy! The staff at Starlight and so kind and easy to talk to and they were helpful and outgoing! We enjoyed relaxing by the community fire and playing the yard games. The wild flowers, everywhere were gorgeous! We absolutely loved our stay here and will recommend Starlight Retreat to others.

Becky’s cabin was beyond phenomenal. The feeling of remoteness in the Gardnier area is something you won’t get staying in a lodge. The ambient creek running through the property added such an immaculate vibe & the ability to pan for gold was a bonus!
