In 1978, my grandparents bought 35 acres in Spicewood, TX with the goal of building their very own home. Together, they built an authentic log cabin, complete with weathered wood and mud-packed walls. Before my grandfather passed, he spent many weekends holding gatherings with friends, hosting shows for local Austin musicians, and providing family with an escape from bustling cities. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing his piece of the countryside with those he held dear. Now, in hopes of keeping my late grandfather's memory alive, we are inviting campers to come enjoy the land he had loved for so many years. We are not a business or rental company, we are a family. The property is owned and maintained by my grandmother, my mother, and myself. All profits derived from Hipcamp go back into supporting the property so that we can keep it in the family for years to come. By staying with us, you are directly supporting our family, for which we are extremely grateful. Amenities shared between the sites include a private toilet, potable well water, a large picnic area, an electrical outlet that can support 2 plugs, 2 contained fire pits, and 1 chimnea. Please do not hesitate to contact us for special requests, questions, or concerns.**2024 Eclipse Bookings** : Due to high demand we have added additional sites. Therefore, camping may be less dispersed than usual. If a more private campsite is desired, it may require camping further from facilities (5-10 min walk). Campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis. Come pitch your tent in Texas Hill Country and enjoy wildlife, scenic sunsets, and tranquil evenings under the stars. Our land is 35 acres, fenced, great for hiking, and very private. Notable nearby destinations include vineyards, distilleries, and several recreation areas. For now, camping is *mostly* primitive except for the shared amenities listed below. Campers and RVs are welcome to choose their own campsite anywhere on the land, however amenities are located near the main house and barn (see satellite map for locations). Amenities shared between the sites include a 3 toilets, shower stall, sink, potable well water, a large beer garden/picnic area, an electrical outlet that can support 2 plugs, contained fire pits, and a chimnea. Please do not hesitate to contact us for special requests, questions, or concerns. Note: There are several ideal campsites located at the highest point on the property that offer privacy and scenic views, but require a SUV/Truck or high clearance vehicle to access.

Very nice place & great host!
Shelby was super nice, friendly, and fast to respond. She even helped me with my trailer issue. The property was beautiful too. I would stay there again for sure.

Hill Country Campsite
Great campsite out in spicewood texas. Let us roam the land and even enjoy a fire in the fire ring. Unfortunately, we did not receive the correct gate code and was told that no one is living on the property. Luckily after we were unsuccessful of reaching out to the host, the property manager met us at the gate and let us in after a first ring answer to the host. Disappointed but fun.

Great site. Camped near the log cabin and ran an extension cord for power. Nice bathroom and property. Will definitely camp here again. Definitely need to bring a hammer for stakes.
