Visitors to Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve can walk or drive across the causeway to Holy Island at low tide, where they can hike through the dunes, visit the mediaeval Lindisfarne Castle and Priory, and admire the views from the Lookout Tower. Bird-watchers can spot more than 300 species, including migrating waders and waterfowl such as spot pink-footed goose, wigeon, and grey plover. However, it's important to note that camping is prohibited within the reserve, but there’s plenty of choice in the surrounding AONB.
