Barn Front with Pond View

Christie and her family were kind and genuine hosts - very hospitable. The extended stay spot behind the barn offers a bit of privacy, and wonderful protection from strong winds. We appreciated our stay and would happily return and recommend to others.

Pond Site- Elec & Water

The site was exactly as described!! The hosts were absolutely terrific. The site was all set up for easy RV hook-up. The fire pit and chairs on the island in the pond was beautiful and relaxing.

We absolutely loved staying here on the pond!! Not only is the site absolutely beautiful, but Christie and her husband went above and beyond to make sure that we and our fur babies had everything we needed. We loved this site so much we added and extra night and then booked again for the weekend! Christie and her husband even made a whole new site for us to make sure that we had electric and water for our stay and didn’t have to use the generator! We highly recommend this site and look forward to staying here again soon!!

Top Pond View

Christie is awesome. My band was in the area and wanted to camp. She was cool with us getting in around 11pm-12am and even stayed awake for us to make sure we got there safe. Beautiful property and wonderful hosting. Thank you again!

A relaxing location to kick back

Easy parking and access to this great site right by the pond. Hookups worked without problem, and you can enjoy your evenings sitting by the water with a fire. You simply can't go wrong staying at the pond site!

Shady Tree Pond View - El & Wa

Fun, easy, comfortable camping

We enjoyed camping on Christie’s Iron Rock Acre Pond. Christie was friendly and greeted us to find out if we needed anything. Our site was by the pond with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. It was convenient that firewood was available for purchase right onsite. The ground was flat with either nice cut grass or packed gravel so it not muddy when it rained. Since we are novice at camping, we really appreciated having strong cell signal and how close the camp was from stores if we needed anything. We could hear distant barking from a kennel and rooster crowing at times but it was nice and quiet at night. We only had time to spend one night though wished we could have stayed longer. We had a nice and easy comfortable camping experience with good memories.

Waterside Camping in

This place is phenomenal. As with most of our past trips, we headed out with no clear destination in mind. We ended up at Iron Rock Acres after booking an hour out. This spot is about 20 minutes southwest of Harrisburg - the closest HipCamp spot we could find. The area is beautiful, and the property is meticulously maintained. The owners met us and drove us around in the their Ranger to find the perfect spot. We set up on the high bank of a lovely pond. The owners clearly have invested time and money in maintaining the pond, making it an attractive spot for campers with a built up flat pit with a natural bridge, a firepit, and comfy Adirondacks. The owner let us linger on Sunday and they exchanged pleasantries before we left. I will be back to camp here - the place is pretty special for self-sufficient RV and tent campers who want a bit of space, a lovely view, and considerate hosts - all at a great deal.
