Big Art Barn in beautiful Oregon
Willow is a lovely host, treats you like family. The barn is a very eclectic space with room to catch up on email if needed or just relax and talk. Also a full kitchen.
The campsite is lovely and spread out with private little areas to camp or truck camp. I could have spent a few days there just relaxing. Saw the elk in the early morning.
Great place to stop by if you're travelling the coast and well suited to groups or individuals who just need a quiet corner.

Super amazing! Basically a dream come true. Indoor space, outdoor space. A freaking wood powered sauna. Awesome. We took 2 kids, and we had a blast.

Otherworldly valley / artist haven
There’s so much, so much to say. There’s two sweet dogs and a barn cat, Willow is an incredible, thoughtful, happy host that embodies the energy of her home. Both nights fog crept into the valley, and it was like living in a cloud. (On that note, it gets chilly, dress warm) Gorgeous starlight, so much art. This is an incredible place unlike anywhere else. ARTISTS COME HERE— this is THE place to camp.
I was a solo camper and felt totally safe, once I got used to sleeping alone in the outdoors for the first time 😌

All Heart in Seal Rock Wetlands
Some sites are all about the amenities while others simply provide access to wonderful land to pitch a tent on. Willow's property is a well-balanced mix of both; Just rustic enough to allow the land to take center stage with handcrafted extras that speak to the creative lifestyle of folks along the Oregon Coast. Exploring the funky charm of the art barn during the day syncs perfectly with the deep stillness of the wetland at night. Definitely a 'down on the farm' feel that is very appealing yet with easy access to beaches, towns and more along Oregon's middle stretch of 101. As others have noted, Willow is a gracious caretaker and host. Highly recommended for those looking for something different when camping on along the mighty pacific ocean.

Great family/dog friendly place
Our family of four (plus our dog) really enjoyed our stay. We came with an 18' trailer and a four-door truck so we were told we had to stay on the near side of one of the creeks that ran through the property. It was a bit marshy and crowded as another large family with two trailers had already taken over much of the space. This was not going to work for us so my husband performed a miracle and somehow neatly traversed a narrow bridge over to the rest of the property where there was so much more space and privacy. We ended up extending our stay and are looking forward to returning to the amazing Heart Barn sometime in the future.
Some thoughts to share about HipCamp and other fellow campers:
HipCamp wanted to charge $25/kid/night on top of the already high initial price of $58 for a camp site with no hook-up facilities. Thankfully Willow was generous enough to work with us on that because for $108 a night we might as well stay at a hotel.
A few of the campers were not following basic community rules about cleaning up after themselves like doing their own dishes, making sure food didn't get stuck in the drains or keeping their dogs on a leash. Please be respectful of Willow and other campers if you stay here so everyone can enjoy the good vibes!
Hopefully Willow will be able to make a bigger bridge for trailers and RVs next time!

Amazing. The setting was beautiful, and felt very connected to nature. The laid back setup and vibe was very inviting. My family stayed for two nights during a camper van trip of the the Olympic Peninsula and Oregon coast. My daughters loved the dogs, ducks, and chickens, and exploring the Art Barn, which is a wild, unique, and special place. Seeing elk, amazing stars, and visiting nearby Ono beach were bonuses. Outdoor shower was fantastic. Willow is kind and engaging. Sitting under the dome on a sunny day was memorable. Can't recommend enough, and can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful slice of meadow and forest a few miles inland, where you can still hear the waves crashing at night. Willow has carved out a loop of perfect little campsites with a variety of options for shade or sun. There were a number of other groups there on the weekend but most left on Sunday, leaving just a handful, and the birds. Even so it’s a lot of space so you never feel crowded by neighbors. So peaceful compared to park campgrounds! Appreciate the kitchen and wifi.

Camping w dogs
This was a great experience at the Heart Barn. We had no trouble finding the place. All the tent spots were awesome. The dogs got along with the local dogs. The barn was so cool and fun to hang out with the kids. The place had several groups of guests, but everyone had plenty of space to spread out. I would recommend this to anyone that loves camping on the Oregon coast.

Lovely site, less lovely experience
There were pros and cons to our experience. The view of the night sky on the second night was spectacular, and that’s probably the most positive thing about our experience. We never met the host and weren’t greeted. The porta-potties were of dubious sturdiness and not particularly convenient to the tent camping area. We were informed by some guy in the RV campsite that we shouldn’t be using the walkway that was the shortest route for us to the porta-potties, because “etiquette.” That same group was using a super loud air compressor and power tools it sounded like for many hours on Saturday, including past 10pm. There were loud people till probably midnight on the Friday night, and it seemed to be coming from the host home. The Wi-Fi signal, wherever it is, was not as expected, but we sometimes had 1 bar of service (AT&T and Verizon). The site itself is lovely, but our experience left much to be desired.

Fantastic stay near the beach. The barn is eclectic and filled with interesting stuff. I loved seeing the chickens run around and the two sweetest dogs. I ate my weight in wild blackberries! The shower was great. There are four portapotties, clean but smelly, as they tend to be. Willow is a great host who cares about her guests and the environment.

The sweetest place & people
The Heart Barn was nothing short of amazing and Willow is the sweetest host I’ve ever met! We borrowed a tent from a friend that happened to be broken, Willow had an extra on hand and did not hesitate to offer it to us to use for our stay. The land itself is wonderful with many different nooks to set up your campsite with lots of privacy. The communal fire pit brought many of us together for some great stories and cooking dinner over the fire! The barn is full of mind blowing art, gorgeous crystals and lots of comfy cozy spots to lounge around. Although we already chose this magical place with confidence it would be great, everything truly exceeded our expectations!

Definitely our favorite camping spot! The farm is beautiful and quiet (we were there during the week), host is gracious, and the cat, dogs, and chickens are pretty cute, too! Loved the outdoor shower and the amazing barn space. Close to great food, beautiful hikes, and breathtaking coastal sites. Would definitely return!

Great location, host & campsites
My adult stepson and I had a great time. Willow is great and all the animals are so friendly. The barn is excellent for when you want a little more comfort and the whole set up is excellent. Sites are spread out well and are easy to access. Finally is such a great central location to Newport and Waldsport so easy to explore south or North. 10 out of 10

The camp site was beautiful. You felt really tucked away into nature. While there were many campers our weekend you still felt like you had your own spot away from others. The dogs are very friendly and while I only saw the cat once while going to the bathroom at night, they left little paw prints on my car. I would 100% stay here again just to drink in the beautiful views. Port a potties were very clean. One downside is the outdoor shower doesn’t feel very private it’s only covered in frosted glass and then clear plastic sheeting at head level.

Great spot and host!
Great spot, willow was also super helpful. They have a “hangout area” which is a really cool setup in the barn, and there are lots of places on the land to put your tent so you can’t see anyone else (though you can hear other people if they’re loud). Lots of beaches nearby (driving distance, a few miles) and Newport is just to the north with a lot to do there. Def recommend!
