Main Meadow Sanctuary
Stay Away - Don't Get Suckered
Very poorly described site. No mention of having to hike your camping gear into their woods and find a spot wherever to try and pitch a tent. The hot stone tub is right next to the host's home and is also frequently used by hosts. The pond was not usable due to very heavy algae growth and is not close to where you would have to hike to camp. It's up by the host's home. We informed the host that we would be camping in our Prius, which in order to do that we would have to camp literally in host's driveway. We found this out upon arrival. We also notified them that we were bringing our 4 dogs. Which again, this site was not going to allow for, for how this site is set up. There were numerous cars and other cabins or maybe abandoned items but the whole place had a very bad vibe and feel to it. It really looked like there was no effort to actually make their property usable. We are experienced campers and aren't afraid to rough-it but this was just not doable. This would be a good case for having to somehow prove what your property and camping site/accommodations actually look like. Host refused to refund any part of our booking. We immediately knee upon arrival that the property would not be usable. Host was aware that we were wanting to relax, be away from people and have privacy, fish, and enjoy our dogs. We would not have been able to do any of this with how the property is set up.

Main Meadow Sanctuary
A peaceful retreat
Wyat was a very nice Host. The place was perfect for us. Quiet and in the middle of nowhere.

Main Meadow Sanctuary
Camp inaccessible, no trailers
Upon arrival, we were unable to stay at Main Meadow Sanctuary and had to find other accommodations for the night. The driveway to the property was blocked by the owner's vehicle and flooded to the point where we almost got my 4x4 Jeep Cherokee stuck. We we had to unhitch my teardrop travel trailer, manually spin it around, and hitch it to my friend's truck to get back to the main road. Be aware that if it has rained, a passenger vehicle may not be able to access the property. Additionally, despite the fact that the site posting says trailers are welcome AND I had messaged the host prior to making my reservation that we would have 2 vehicles and a travel trailer, when we arrived he said he accepts dispersed camping only, no travel trailers.
