This is a small working hobby farm, near the site of a historic park-George Rogers. The 1/2 mile trails are flat and clean but may have limbs or tree nuts on the ground. We have chickens which provide fresh eggs as available if you are interested for a small fee, and split firewood that is very reasonably priced, purchase at arrival. We will have bonfires as weather permits, also you can rent a large private camp fire site just for the evening. Sites are wheel chair accessible, but the trails are earth, not paved. All sites are walk-in, not able to park cars next to the camp site, I will help with out with my UTV if you have lots of gear. Learn more about this land: Separated sites (you will not see your neighbor campers) for tents/hammocks, each has a fire ring, some sites have picnic tables most have spool tables. Sites can accommodate 1-2 tents, and/or 2-4 hammocks. Have a rally site where larger groups can tent camp. Have private dirt hiking trails on site with many nearby county and state parks for more adventure. Canoe and kayak livery 1 mile away. Young’s dairy, Yellow Springs, 1800’s Carriage Hill a working Farm, Air Force Museum, Brandeberry Winery, and the Melody family restaurant are near. Have a port a potty on sight, parking is near the entrance to woods. Plenty of wood on the ground near sites, or can provide split wood for a small fee. More than 4 persons per site will be an additional fee $3 per person. Check in times after 3:00 PM (text if you will arrive sooner), (please no check-ins after dark* let me know if you will be), Check out is 1:00 PM, you can texted if you need another arrangement. * We now offer a 7 person tents as available and chairs for rent.

K9 Cove
Best Weekend Trip !
This was my first time camping since I was a kid and my husband’s first time ever. K9 cove set up to be the most PERFECT spot. We came to view the eclipse, the host (who is very courteous) invited us to watch it out in the parking field with everyone. PERFECT. Clear skies, lovely nature scenes, and of course- 15 min drive to amazing Yellow Springs. We will definitely be back if we can! They have wood and fresh eggs available for purchase which was a fun little convenience. On our way out, the host mentioned if we wanted something to eat on the road, we could go to “Jerseys Dairy Farm” nearby. What a great recommendation! Very cool place and tasty food. Thank you Alan for the recommendation and the stay!

Rally sites 2-10
A trillion star rating
My family and I visited for three days and two nights over the solar eclipse and were sad to leave! The land is incredible. The camp sites are incredible. The host, Alan, is incredible. Everything was perfect, and we can't wait to return. There were more people on the land than what would be typical (given the eclipse) and it was STILL perfect. Space for all, seclusion, accomodations. Alan & his fam provided individual firepits for each camper. A very clean porta-john. Fresh farm eggs for very cheap! And they checked in on each and every one of us, to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. We learned that Alan had created all the paths around the woods HIMSELF, by pulling out the plants. He taught our kids how to do it, gave us a tour of his chicken coop, and let the kiddos pick eggs straight from the source. You can tell he truly loves his land, and he loves to share with others. He has little artistic gems around the paths: a fairy garden, sculptures made from tree branches, soft twinkle lights, a hammock, an owl house, a swinging bench. There's a map posted for easy navigation. Many wagons provided for carrying tents and whatnot from the wide open parking field to the secluded camp sites. (The field, of course, was perfect for viewing the eclipse but also great to see the stars!) The entire experience was a magical one. Pics here do not do enough justice. A thousand times recommend, you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Alan!

Mighty Oak
BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND!!!!!
Alan is an absolute gem of a human and Orange Moon is a wonderful place to camp!!!! There were so many trails to explore, the grounds were immaculate and private, and the other campers were quiet and respectful. The Mighty Oak site is the site closest to the road - and we did hear cars going and trains going by during the duration of our visit. Next time, we would choose a spot that was further away from the road - but we booked at the last minute to see the eclipse. The chickens were adorable and were not noisy at all during the night. You will love staying here!!! Do not hesitate to book a spot at Alan's campground!!!

Bonfire Site 3 - Orange Moon
The owners were very friendly and helpful. They made sure to come around and introduce themselves and see if we needed anything. The area was clean and taken care of, price was reasonable, they offered split firewood and fresh eggs for a very reasonable price.
