Beautiful property!
Charles is a warm, gracious host. Showed us to our site and made sure we new where everything was. The property was gorgeous! Features wooded areas and rolling hills with open meadows. There’s horses, goats and chickens on his farm. All in all we had a nice night under the stars and would definitely recommend to others.

My girlfriend and I have been to this Chuck’s property 3 times now. Once with a group of 8. Both car camping and tent camping, and every time it always leaves me wanting to return asap. Each site is rather large and they’re spaced out enough that you can’t hear or really see the other campers so your group can enjoy their privacy. Chuck’s a really hospitable and kind guy who provides everything to make the trip perfect, every time. His property is beautiful and secluded and it’s cool to watch and interact with some of his goats and horses. We most definitely plan to come back again in the future.

Amazing views and privacy! Host is super friendly flexible and easily able to contact. The provided camp sink, outhouse and firewood made for an easy weekend with less packing to do. Can't wait for our next stay!

Charles’s land was the most beautiful camp site we’ve stayed at so far. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. He was extremely polite and welcoming at check in. We will definitely be back for a longer stay soon!

Property is absolutely beautiful! From the moment you turn into the dirt road leading to the property you are immersed in the peace and tranquillity of this lovely setting . Property is adjacent to 800 acres of national Forrest so you can hike till your hearts content . Charles was super welcoming and informative! Wife and I will definitely visit again!

Stargazing in Uwharrie
Charles has a beautiful location. We were there for the peak of the meteor shower. Just as advertised no light pollution and private setting. He was very accommodating and helpful getting to our spot and orientation to his property. Our kids had a blast wandering the trails and forest. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time camping here and it’s beautiful. The camp sites are great and the outdoor sink, shower and outhouse and really nice. Not only is Chuck a joy of a host, the area is fantastic too. We were even woken up this morning by a wild turkey wandering through camp. We can’t wait to go back.

Family October Weekend get-a-way
This property was fantastic for our family weekend get-a-way! We had plans to go hiking elsewhere, but decided to stay and just hike the property and we’re not disappointed. Several cool areas of exposed rock, dry creek beds, and walking up to see the goats and horses are all very accessible from any campsite. Not only was the property great out our host Charles (Chuck) did a great job explaining the area and allowing us to explore. If you are just browsing thru campsites, but sure to save this one!!

Perfect spot!!!
Awesome camping spot! Especially for multiple tents. We had so much space all to ourselves! Big open space surrounded by woods. Had 4 tents out, 4 cars, and still had a football field sized space to our use. Short walks to outhouse and creek 👍🏼 had firewood set out for us and drinkable water. The kids loved it, and so did the adults. Our host was incredible in showing us to the site and how to get anywhere we might need. We’ll definitely be back!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

my pup and I had the most amazing time, hope to visit again soon! The pictures don’t do this site justice. There’s tons of opportunity for hiking and exploring. Charles was a wonderful and friendly host. I highly recommend for solo camping!

We really enjoyed the weekend. The place is beautiful and safe for camping, the starry sky looks very nice. It's great to take a shower under the woods. Charles is a great anfitrion, he was very kind to open up and help our friends who arrived at night. It was a wonderful family time, we hope to return soon.

First Hipcamp experience and Charles did not disappoint. He was so enthusiastic about opening up his property to fellow campers looking for a relaxing spot away from the RVs and crowds but close to the goats! We should have stayed for a few nights, but we’ll definitely be back again.

Great Spot to get away
We just returned from our trip to the campsite and it was amazing! Peaceful and remote. Even with the drive back into the location, it was easily accessible with my large truck. Chuck was great in showing us around the location. Looking forward to another stay soon.

The absolute best experience ever!
Phenomenal hosts run this incredible property! Chuck and Bonnie are the most kind, accommodating, and genuine people. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable upon arriving. Our experience will forever be a core memory, and I'm grateful to have met these fantastic people.
The highlights were: the hosts and visiting company, the goats, the serene land, and the night sky views. We cannot recommend this property more! We can't wait to go back!!

Tent Camping Family
We are a family of three with two dogs and we were tent camping over the holiday weekend at New Forest.
We loved all of the space we had to ourselves! The land is truly gorgeous. There were other campers, but we could not see and barely heard them during our stay. Access to the rainwater shower was wonderful after a long, hot day and the rainwater sink was super helpful and convenient. There was also a pit toilet, which was very convenient. There was plenty of shade to hangout in during the day and space to hang our hammocks. Chuck is a wonderful host. He’s welcoming, hospitable, and knowledgeable, but gives his guests space to enjoy as well. The only issue we could think of was we wish there was more than one outhouse. It didn’t bother us, but may be helpful for other campers.

Great Firsttime Experience for Kids
Mr. Chuck lives up to all the positive reviews on here! Great host, beautiful property and private camping sites that are seconds away from groomed trails that our young kids were easily able to walk with us and see the wildlife! Exceptional gentleman that will help with anything he can. Look forward to coming back soon!

Secluded, Serene and for me!
This was just the place I needed for me to escape people. It was beautiful, quiet, serene and as a women traveling alone, I felt so safe. The grounds have nice walking paths and the canopy of pines was perfect drift away under in my hammock.

What a fantastic time! Chuck is hands-down the best host and we couldn’t asked for a more pleasant stay. Our camp was the most spacious we’ve experienced and simply lovely. The other guests were great and everyone had so much privacy.

Great host, great property. Our site wasnt fully flat but we managed. We self contain tacoma/ tent camp but host had really nice outdoor shower, pit toilet, and provided plenty of firewood.

Camping with goats!
Charles’s property is so beautiful and serene. The camp site was wonderfully hidden in the trees with plenty of space and trees between us and the next campsite. Our toddler LOVED his herds of goats and pond. Quick access to trails and Badin Lake. Charles is a wonderful host and we very much enjoyed our time there.

Awesome spot
I recently returned to camp again at Chuck’s place because it is such a great spot. Chuck is an awesome host, provides plenty of firewood, water and the location couldn’t be better. I’ve been staying at the secluded river spot. It’s perfect if you’re looking for archaic camping. Will be back here again soon and would highly recommend
