We live on a picturesque 700 acre property, high in the Darling Range an hour north of Perth. The property overlooks Lake Chittering with sweeping views to the horizon. The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo, Xanthorea and Banksia.  Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles.  The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce.  We have a number of campsites on offer for your relaxing holiday.

Old Mill Site
Camping with kangaroos
Andrew was great, came and met us, saw our caravan was a bit tall for the site we booked and promptly took us to a different one which was perfect. Loved waking up to the bush on one side and the fields with kangaroos in the morning and afternoon. Beautiful and quiet, the art work was excellent. Can’t wait to come back in winter and sit out by a fire ( sites come with fire pits )

Wandoo Ridge
Lovely place, well secluded camp spots. Close to Perth and easy to get too. Will be back in the future

Back Bush
Excellent camping with great views
Excellent camping all off grid but so worth it. Andrew is a character very happy and tells you how it is. This is great and very helpful.

Horse Paddock camp
Great private spot in the bush
Can't comment on Horse Paddock as the host kindly 'upgraded' us to the Old Mill camp. That is a nice spot - very private, not near other campers. Only slight dampener - not the hosts fault! The area is in one of the Perth airport flight paths, so occasionally, there are a few hours of night and early morning flights overhead, and a couple of RAAF training flights. But the majority of the day is quiet and peaceful. A great spot. Recommended.
