The Land, Redes Natural Park

5. The Land, Redes Natural Park

England · 1 unit
A plot of two acres located within the heart of Redes Natural Park in Asturias. Here you have a view over a mountainous, forest covered valley. You can enjoy the sounds of the river coming up from the bottom of the valley, as well as the array of birdlife. The plot is surrounded by forest, you're likely to see eagles, foxes and deer here. There are many trails that you can start from the land. Simply walk 10/15 mins to any of the nearby hamlets and from there you can follow signposts for full day or shorter hikes. The land is mostly sloped but there are several flat pockets where you can pitch tents.

Forest Days Wild Camp

6. Forest Days Wild Camp

Forest Days is an experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It’s a voyage into the world of forgotten explorers and old fashioned adventurers’ camps, where the smell of wood smoke and damp earth fills the air and the raw beauty of simple and authentic things becomes the world’s biggest luxury. Discovering the thrill of sleeping in the midst of the forest with only a layer of canvas between you and the starlit night is a dream come true for the inner child that lives in our hearts. At Forest Days we believe in hot sunny days, refreshing summer storms, the swirling mists of autumn, in leisurely sunsets and the rustling of the wind in the trees. We believe in loving every minute of it and in waking every morning from the warm embrace of your shelter, ready to seize the bright, sunny day ahead. This is the Forest Days' spirit. Welcome to your adventure. Take a deep breath and step into the forest. When you arrive, everything is sorted; every detail is taken care of. You don’t have any chores to do before you start enjoying yourself. Get lost wandering through the trees and the woodland's many bends, twists and levels. Remember how wonderful it feels gathering wood for your own fire. Take up foraging for wild, delicious mushrooms in autumn, a very seriously taken hobby in this part of the world, or pick up fresh blackberries and figs. Grab the picnic blanket and sit down under a shady oak with a good book, or find a sunny spot and have your very own Mad Hatter’s Tea party. Here everything is possible. Barcelona, Girona and Reus airports are all less than 2 hours away, you can be with us late afternoon if you arrive on the morning ferry into Santander or Bilbao, the beaches of the Costa Brava are about 2 hours’ drive away and you can be across the border and into southern France in little over an hour and a half. So whatever you are planning, get out your maps, put a pin in Forest Days and see how a few nights in this magical space can be included into your next adventure.
