You’re welcome to go fishing we have, brackish water even blue crabs 🦀 it does require a license. Welcome to bring your boat launch is about a mile away off the 603. You can leave it docked in our yard. Under the house, there is table and chairs to enjoy the cool breeze. There is an outside cold water, shower, and a sink with cold water. One outlet to charge your phone is all the electricity available.

We are situated on the Mississippi River just 4 miles south of New Orleans, 7 miles of the French Quarter and 9 miles to the Jazz Fest, City Park and 10 miles to the Lake Front. There are bike lanes and routes to many points of interest, along with bus, taxi and uber/lyft
We are also 22 miles from Delacroix Island and Hopedale where there are several charter services for those interested in a great fishing/hunting experience.
Our property is quite, safe and rustic. We have a firepit and grills. There is running water, but no electricity or bathroom at present time.
This property is great for tent camping or sprinter vans. We also are open to hosting BBQs/Seafood Boils, Live music, for small gatherings at additional charge.
Good pets welcome. No aggressive animals allowed.
Check in is 8am to 7pm. Quiet time is 10pm to 7am.

This sprawling historic retreat offers 10 beautifully appointed cottages that can accommodate 50 overnight guests. There is a very large, beautiful meeting room as well as an enormous banquet hall with a well-stocked commercial kitchen, compete with all linens, tableware, and stemware. The covered, screened pavilion is enormous and is the perfect place for a wedding ceremony, reception, or conference. Guests absolutely love to stretch out on the 13 acres and explore the neatly manicured grounds. We had such an incredible experience staying with Deborah and her husband. They were kinder and more welcoming than I ever could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel comfortable and genuinely cared about our stay.
Deborah went above and beyond by recommending amazing local spots to explore, and every suggestion was a hit. You can tell she truly loves the area and wants her guests to experience the best of it. Their hospitality made the whole trip feel special like we were visiting friends.

Debbie was the most kind and over-the-top accommodating host I’ve ever met. She spoiled me and my two girls! She fed us dinner and gave the girls treats. In the morning she gave the girls hot chocolate, toys and beads to play with. Her property was fun… being right on the bayou! She even had kayaks for us to use. She set chairs out for us to use to watch the bats at sunset. An absolutely amazing time was had!

We LOVED our time at Bayou Peninsula! Debbie and O.J. are gracious hosts with a beautiful property. The location is conveniently near I-10, the beach in next door Waveland, also bars, restaurants, shopping etc while being secluded enough to enjoy true peaceful down time. We enjoyed watching the waterfront property change with the tides and stargazing by the firepit at night. Debbie's generous hospitality cannot be overstated. She went above and beyond to make our stay a success. We look forward to our next getaway at Bayou Peninsula. If you go, say hi to their adorable pups Sandy and Leroy for us! Thanks again Debbie!!

To say that this was an amazing stay would be a massive understatement. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and for having such a beautiful property to spend 5 days at. Waking up next to the river each day was so calming and peaceful. Beach is 10 minutes up the road. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and Walmart. Amazing host and would return in a heartbeat!
