This 45-acre property is the original farm homestead of the Kozak family. Since 1996, the land has been stewarded and enhanced by Cheryl Cohan and Noah Erenberg and is now home to Nature On! Matlock Biodiversity Retreat and Horticultural Therapy Centre. There are 3 different listings to choose from: Deluxe Wall Tent in Forest Meadow, Bunkie in Forest Meadow, and Tent Camping in Forest Meadow. We have something for everyone, no matter the type of camper that you are! The surrounding area includes the beautiful and quaint, resort village of Dunnottar bordering along with the property: Matlock main beach on Lake Winnipeg’s southwest shore is just a three-minute walk away as is the hiking trail that meanders northward through Whytewold, Ponemah and up to Winnipeg Beach. Dunnottar Sports Courts for tennis and basketball as well as Julia’s Restaurant are a short one block to the east; Matlock General Store is a ten-minute walk to the north; many more amenities and attractions are available to explore throughout the Interlake, with lots to see and do in nearby Winnipeg Beach, Gimli, Camp Morton, Riverton, Arborg, etc. The property has many trails throughout the forest and meadow that are walkable all year round. There is a porta-potty on the property centrally located near the accommodations. There is a water hose available with cold water only. There are no showers.

Relax in the cedar sauna, soak side-by-side on the heated stone slab, enjoy the hillbilly hot tubs, or sit around a bonfire in comfy Adirondack chairs. All amenities are just steps away. Wake up and enjoy coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in one of the many indoor or outdoor seating nooks. There’s plenty of room to walk and explore! With no artificial lighting at night, the property offers incredible stargazing. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful, secluded, tree-filled yard shared with the homeowners, we’re located just 15 minutes south of the Trans-Canada Highway near La Broquerie, Manitoba. Guests often describe this as a healing space. Notes: • Flush toilet and sink also available on-site. • A CN train crossing is just over a mile away, and trains pass a few times a night. Complimentary soft earplugs are provided for light sleepers. • Guests may heat the wood-fired sauna and hillbilly hot tubs at their leisure; each takes about an hour to warm up. Ample split wood and kindling are provided. Tubs can also be filled with hot water to speed up the process. • Two sweet, hard-working outdoor cats live on the property (they’re welcome indoors if you allow them).

2 nights at Glamping With The Stars

This is one of the most memorable camping experiences you could ever have just 1 hour drive from Winnipeg. Highly recommend for somone looking for quiet, private, safe and comfortable camping!!! The unique design of the dome will give you the feeling of sleeping under the stars with its transparent ceiling!! Canoeing in Whiteshell river is a bonus. You will see turtles, eagles, many different varieties of fish and if you are lucky enough even a bear! Above all you will meet the most friendliest and most accommodating hosts, Amber and Johnny. We rate this 10 out of 10 for; comfort, cleanliness, price, amenities, location, gueat services and accuracy of information. We will come again and again!!!

1 night at Dreamcatcher Tipi Adventures

This was by far the best camping/glamping experience we've ever had. Glen gave us such a warm welcome, even before we arrived at his property, greeting us at the entrance. He took the time to explain everything in detail and treated us to an off-road ride, showing us the stunning acres of his forested land. He also provided firewood and coffee in the morning—such a wonderful gesture. Glen is truly a wonderful host. The tipi was incredibly cozy, with all the bedding already set up for us, which made us feel right at home. We felt completely safe and at peace during our stay. One thing I’d recommend is bringing insect repellent, as there are quite a few bugs, but that’s to be expected in a nature setting. The best part is that you’ll have the entire place to yourself, which makes it feel even more special. The property has a full-sized BBQ, which was perfect for cooking, and Glen’s chicken farm added a nice touch—he kindly brought us fresh eggs for breakfast. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends in the future!

Noah greeted us with warmth as soon as we arrived, letting us know we could reach out anytime if we needed anything. It was just a short one-night stay, but we truly enjoyed it — quiet, simple, and just what we needed to unwind.
