Enjoy relaxing at either site along the stream - -both are included at the same price for additional privacy. You are also welcome to bring your well-mannered canine friends with you at no additional cost. Please note that pets must remain on the camp site and encourage the use of either leashes or tie outs. This property is also part of a hobby farm that is home to Nigerian Dwarf goats, calves, sheep, ducks, chickens, turkeys and bunnies. It may also be possible to take the goats for a walk around the property and should be arranged ahead of time. This area is also home to plenty of deer and other wildlife. For convenience, firewood and farm fresh eggs can be provided at a small fee. Due to a 50% increase in hipcamp fees late in 2025, all extras are can now be purchased directly from the host but are unfortunately no longer offered directly through the app at this time. Varney Conservation area, abandoned CN Railway track and Pebbles restaurant are also a short walk away. The Site was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. It is kept amazingly well and was the perfect spot to relax for the weekend. The goats are a lot of fun and I really recommend taking some time to go feed them if you can. We hope to be back soon!!

Such a beautiful land! The site is very cozy and private, we had an amazing stay. We never met Hubrecht, but he was always available via text for any of our concerns.

A Little Slice of Paradise

This spot is breathtakingly beautiful & immediately gave our nervous systems the sense of calm we were looking for. A great set-up with lots of privacy, your own babbling brook & a gazebo on the river for shade. Hubrecht was a fantastic host, very friendly & ensured the site was set up perfectly for us. We cannot wait to come back & enjoy the tranquility this nature haven offers.

Beautiful and private site with a lovely little creek running through it. It was so quiet and peaceful. My partner, dog and I absolutely loved this place and will be returning for sure. The host was very communicative and helpful!

As always so beautiful , we were quite unlucky with the extreme weather this visit but Hubrecht was very attentive and helpful . We were even brought turkey eggs for breakfast . We are looking forward to a return visit next month , hopefully without the tornado watch lol !

The site was beautiful and secluded. A creek runs through and there is a nice sitting area. There is a lovely view of stars and fireflies and it is definitely worth the stay. The hosts were responsive and attentive and I would go there again.

Amazing little piece of heaven nestled in the small town of Varney. The owner and neighbours are super welcoming and nice. Loved that it was private and just a hop away from where we parked. Ideal for first time campers and families.

As a family of three we had a wonderful time camping on Hubrecht’s property. A beautiful spot, well maintained, and visiting the goats was an added bonus! Kind attentive host. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic time during our stay on Hubrecht’s land. Site was clean and tranquil. We had different species of birds come to visit the spot while we were camping. Hubrecht was very nice and welcoming. We had an opportunity to spend some time on his farm and fed the goats. That was so much fun!! This is my second time coming here. First time as the Hipcamper, not the guest invite. Looking forward to coming again in the future. Thank you so much Hubrecht for sharing your space with us.

Host is very accommodating, we scheduled the site on a stormy day, but hubrecht still managed to help us and even provided a site on the fields which is equally awesome. Loved the eggs too! We will be back again for sure.

Loved camping on the island. Felt like a secluded piece of land you can call your fortress. There’s an Out-house with a convenient Wooden walk-way. The sound of the river splashing gives a nature vibe and helped me with sleeping. The bridge was a cool little spot to watch the water, and the gazebo was the perfect spot to cook your fresh farm eggs they provide for a small price. Definitely worth it!

Hubrecht’s private camping ground is beautiful! There’s a cute little bridge you walk over to get to the camping ground and it’s not far from where you park your car. Your camping ground is like a cute little island with a stream of water going all around the camping site which is so nice to listen and wake up to. This location is also private with tress and bushes all around you. I would definitely recommend this place.

Me, my husband and our pup had the most magical experience at Hubrecht’s campsite. It is secluded and private, and we we’re surrounded by such beautiful nature - stream, birds, trees, flowers. We felt we were in our own little paradise “island” away from the rest of the world. Our pup had the time of his life dipping himself in the stream as he pleased. Hubrecht took good care of us and made sure we had everything needed. The eggs were delicious. Thank you for allowing us to re-set and experience this beautiful place. Would recommend it 100 times over.
