Pat and Gerry&#x27;s Simple Solitude

This is a very quiet and private spot for a tent, camper or even a small group of campers. The host is very helpful and brought firewood for us, made sure we knew where to get drinking water, collected the garbage and recyclables and gave us information about local summer events that were happening in the area.

We were two couples each with 28ft trailers and the two sites were perfect sizes. The sites are a mix of gravel and grass surrounded by mixed forest and private. Pat and Gerry were both so welcoming and friendly. They provided us with a list of things to do and see in the area. We loved walking the country roads and trails and watching their beautiful, curious horses from a distance. A big shout out to Gerry for his quick and genuine help when we had a maintenance issue with our trailer on the day we left. Thankful to know there are good people out there still willing to lend a helping hand. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Camping with the butterflies.

The two sites are together but around the corner from the main house and barn. Private. Wooded area. Very clean. Many butterflies. Picnic table, garbage, firewood and recycling for each site. There was more road noise than I expected especially early in the morning. Maybe commuters to Bruce Power? Pat was wonderful at communicating and I enjoyed our morning chat. A very good first Hipcamp experience. I hope to meet Gerry next time!

Relaxing experience! A needed rest.

Pat and Gerry were wonderful hosts! They reached out before our arrival to understand our preferences in order to provide local recommendations for food and activities. Their property was secluded and relaxing. The unlimited firewood was a much appreciated feature. We would absolutely recommend to other hip campers to stay at Pat and Gerry's!

Had a great time at Pat & Gerry's. We booked both sites as we had friends with us and we all enjoyed the quiet camping. Pat & Gerry are very nice and very friendly hosts. We will be heading back to enjoy the space again Thank you Pat & Gerry

About the Host: Patricia and Gerry were exeptional host. They go out of there way to make your stay a nice and smooth experience. They are very welcoming, helpfull and available if need. About the Sites: The sites are great and as described Quaint, secluded, private and wooded.

A Great Camping Getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pat and Gerry’s. Their site is quiet, secluded, and well-managed, with chopped wood, kindling, and recycling/garbage bins. The campsite is beautiful and the stars at night were stunning! Pat and Gerry were gracious hosts who made us feel welcome from the get-go. Great communication, friendly, and generous with their time and care. They let us visit their adorable kittens and ponies before we left for home. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone. Thank you Pat and Gerry!

Pat and Gerry were great hosts, very attentive and accommodating and simply lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed the site, The site was very quiet and peaceful . Pat and Gerry are blessed to have such a wonderful property in close proximity to some very quaint towns, beaches and restaurants. We will definitely be returning. Great stay with Pat & Gerry

Pat and Gerry were wonderful hosts. Their spot was perfect for us! It was very private, and had everything we need. There were garbage cans, picnic tables, and a fire pit, with free firewood and water. Pat checked on us every day to see if we needed more firewood, and we filled up our water jugs as needed using the well- this was super handy since we had our dogs with us. Our dogs were very welcomed and it was a perfect spot for them too. Pat and Gerry gave us nearby reccomendations based on our interests and they had plenty of great stories to share about the area. On our final Morning, Gerry stopped by with some fresh bread to share with us. We had a great time and we would definitely return next time we are in the area! Thanks Gerry and Pat!

AMAZING service and site! We were a group of young adults staying for the weekend and absolutely loved our experience. The sites are very large. Amazing view of the stars at night. It happened to rain one of our nights, so Pat provided a canopy to stay dry and as well as new dry firewood and fire starter supplies. I would highly recommend camping here!

Quiet Solitude

This was a great spot to camp! The location has two campsites fairly close to each other, so booking both of them for a large group ended up being a perfect arrangement! The hosts are incredibly kind and accommodating, and will provide you with whatever you need for your campsite—including endless amounts of firewood! This site is also on a horse farm, so Gerry was kind enough to let us see the horses up close! Really great spot if you have kids, or if you’re looking for a bit of solitude. Close to many beaches and hiking trails—we will definitely be returning!

Exceptional Hospitality

Patricia and Gerry were the best hosts! They called a few days before arrival to introduce themselves and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The site itself is secluded and beautiful. The two sites are close to each other but still offer privacy between the two campsites. The horses and cats on the farm are friendly and it was really wonderful to have the opportunity to spend some time with them! Plenty of firewood was given to us to use. The best part though was the exceptional hospitality of Patricia and Gerry. Thanks so much for the wonderful weekend!

Corporate retreat GOOD

Talented. Brilliant. Incredible. Amazing. Show stopping. Spectacular. Never the same. Totally unique. -lady Gaga Pat and Gerry were wonderful hosts, accommodating and kind. They checked in occasionally, let us see the horses, and provided us with plenty of firewood and water. The campsite itself is as described - private with beautiful star gazing. Would go back.

Beautiful and welcoming space!

We loved camping at Patricia’s! The area is gorgeous and there’s a nearby pond, beautiful horses to look at, plenty of fire wood and drink water readily available. Patricia was so kind and welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations in the area. The place was better than expected and would highly recommend it!

Patricia and her husband are absolutely lovely and their property is beautiful and quiet. They provide you with all the firewood you need and water. Would definitely stay here again, they are great hosts.

Absolutely Secluded

Not only was Pat so friendly, and incredibly helpful, the site was exactly as described: secluded and private. All your firewood is provided, you are surrounded by trees, and the sky was so perfect for star gazing. There was a little road noise during the day, but it didn't bother us at all. My 12-year-old said it was his favourite campsite ever! I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking to get away. We will definitely be back!
