Hawkins Retreat is a 25 acre farm that consists of workable land and mixed wood lot. There are trails through the bush and the beautiful Port Albert Beach is a 4 minute drive away. The G2G (Goderich to Guelph) trail head is a 15 minute drive away in beautiful Goderich Ontario. Beautiful Goderich Ontario is a short 15 minute drive north of the property. There you will find many dining and shopping options.

Pitch your tent or park your trailer here and enjoy the wildlife that surrounds you!  There are trails through the bush and the gorgeous Port Albert beach is a 5 minute drive from your site. Picturesque Port Albert is also home to a cozy pub and there is a general store that sells ice cream and anything that you might have forgotten for your adventure.  There is a fire ring on each site, and firewood is provided for you. Please do not bring wood from other places to our farm. There is an outhouse available for your comfort. Dogs are allowed if they are leashed. The trail head to the famous G2G (Goderich to Guelph) trail is located just 15 minutes away in beautiful Goderich, Ontario.  We look forward to hosting you on our rural country property.Shelly and Drew

Great peaceful, clean site, perfect for touring the Huron area of places like Port Elgin, Kincardine and Goderich. Wide open space with a large amount of room for each pitch. Great communication with our hosts and will hopefully be back to explore some more.

We had the best weekend at Shelley's Hawkins Retreat. Hawkins Retreat is situated in a wood lot surrounded by waving fields of corn. The two camping sites were beautifully maintained and located on trimmed grass each with a firepit and outhouse. Free firewood is thoughtfully provided. The Port Albert public beach on Lake Huron is 10 minutes away and quite lovely. Spent the day there and met a nice couple, Josh and Steph who it turned out were camping at the second Hawkins Retreat camp site. Wish we were there for longer and definitely plan to return someday soon. Thanks Shelley for a memorable weekend!

Great campsite. Fairly private and has its own outhouse which is a plus. Firewood onsite and kept very neat and tidy. Beach close by as well as goderich for groceries etc... Would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic experience at this campsite. Shelly was very clear, communicative and helpful for instructions upon arrival. The open but private style site was perfect—spacious, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. The outhouse facilities were clean, and everything was clearly well taken care of, including the stocked wood + kindling. Very quiet surroundings. Quick trip to the beach. Can't wait to come back!

Pristine, well-maintained site. Sheltered by trees so very private. Totally silent at night. Plenty of dry firewood available. There were even a pair of adorable kittens - although they were too shy to come close. Convenient for Lake Huron, Goderich, Maitland Trail and G2G rail trail. Shelly is very responsive. I had a great weekend and would love to return.
