Welcome to 2 acres of forest on Manitoulin Island, the world's largest freshwater island! Nestled amidst trees, our camp offers a clearing where you can set up tents or park a camper. Amenities include an outhouse, fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen featuring a dry sink, drink cooler, a small BBQ and camp stove (bring your own small propane cylinders). If you use our firewood please replace it, there are lots of fallen trees and an axe if you want to cut your own. Just 1 minute away from the beach, marina with showers, laundry facilities, and a corner store, but our campsite offers unparalleled privacy and tranquility. Experience breathtaking sunsets and a sky filled with countless stars. There were broken beer bottles stuck in the ground, lots of rusted pieces of metal scattered around from old pots to a hoe and an axe just lying out in the open. Also found random screws, and metal wire half in the ground that made me trip. Not to mention a night vision CAMERA! Pretty sure that’s illegal. Oh and there are no nice flat spots to put up the tent. Lots of stumps in the way. So to say the least I don’t have anything nice to say. Host was very quick at responding before we arrived. Was told to meet host upon arrival but got no response when I told her we arrived. They also have the audacity to ask to leave the site better than when u showed up. That’s hilarious I am paying for a site you cannot even keep functional let alone clean before we arrive. So no I would never recommend, complete opposite do not stay there.
