Absolutely amazing view to wake up to! It was easy to access behind his house. The firewood bundles were the among the most dry I've received all season. It made for setting up the fastest fire :) can't wait to come back and spend more time up in the area. Growing up on a farm, some gust of winds carried a familiar scent my way. 😂

Charles was very accommodating,, we booked for 1 night but enjoyed it so much that we asked to stay another night. Charles had no problem with it. The view was spectacular! I would definitely stay there again!,

This was a great place to stay! You can pull your car right to your site which is really convenient. The host was very nice and the stars at night were great!

Awesome experience! Wonderful view, great sunrise, and spacious area. Was very easy to find, and the host was very hospitable and helpful! Was in a bad situation when my motorcycle tire blew out on me, and he did his very best to accommodate my situation 100% would use the site again

My personal experience - I ended up staying during a night where there the host was not outside to meet me for direction, just a small discussion with his son which had a gathering nearby and ended up being fairly noisy. The host also meant to place a fire ring for me to use but mistook the night of my arrival. However, once I described my experience to Charles over a message he kindly apologized and took care of my issue. Also, I woke up to an incredible open view of the sky and it happened to be perfect weather for the time stayed… no one was around to interfere with my space so that was nice!

Awesome camp spot! Definitely not very private but Charles was super nice and helpful and it was nice to have other campers nearby. Little light pollution so you can see the night sky :) Would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy spot to stay for the night

We had an amazing experience at Charles’s field! We were 4 people, set up two tents, and stayed for two nights. Charles was awesome, provided camp fire boxes and eclipse glasses, and gave us great recommendations. The field was gorgeous, I highly recommend this site!

Excellent location and Charles was very helpful. I bought some wood and had a nice fire. The view is amazing and the sunrise was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

We were in need of a place to stay for one night. it was late and charles responded quickly and was very helpful. campsite is in his backyard at the edge of a field. it was perfect for what we needed, very clean and pretty. good place to stay the night.

We needed a quick place close to Letchworth to stay before doing some hiking there and ended staying here. The view is very nice overlooking silver lake, we got an ok sunset considering the weather. Decently flat spot for the tent, and Charles left out a bucket of kindling and some firewood as well as the portable fire pit for us. Nice walk along the field back to the pond (which would have made a much more private camping spot, My only gripe is that it IS in a backyard about 200ft or so off the back of the house, so we parked our vehicles more like a wall to give some separation. Other than that, great spot, instructions and convenient.. Thanks! This was my first Hipcamp, and Charles made the experience great.

My brother and I had a lovely stay being hosted by Chip! He was incredibly accommodating, helping us out in a late night pinch for a place to stay. He showed us to our campsite, made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable, and even gifted us a hand-made painting at the end of our stay! The land was gorgeous - the expansive night sky was so clear we think we saw the Milky Way, the sunrise over the farmlands and lake was beautiful, and the morning walk was serene along the path bordered by an oat field and blackberry bushes. All in all, 10/10 primitive camping! As my first experience using Hipcamp, Chip exceeded all expectations!
