very accessible location if you are crossing Indiana using i-90! i had a very relaxed night here, Anette was very nice and informative upon my arrival.

Site 4 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
Annette was so helpful during our stay! There was some nasty weather predicted the night of our stay and she made accommodations for us so we wouldn't get caught in a storm.
The property is lovely and it was so nice having all the animals around. The chickens are a riot. Loved watching them run around in the yard. The dogs are so sweet also. Say hi to Zoe... she's the sweetest girl!

Site 4 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
Fun camping on a farm!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time camping at the Riding Stable! We stayed at site 4, backing up to a the woods on the grass. There was a nice fire ring and a picnic table as well. The kids loved seeing the horses, pigs, rabbits, ducks and chickens. The highlight of our trip was our riding lessons and horseback ride! We were able to groom our horses beforehand. Also, Anette was so accommodating with us arriving a week earlier than we booked (our mistake!) and let us camp anyway. We will definitely be back!

Site 4 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
Great for animal lovers and kids
We stayed at site 4, close to the fire pit and backing up to the forest. The host and her kids were amazing at showing us around and my own kids were able to go horseback riding and visit the other animals on the property. My daughters can’t wait to go back. For the adults, worth noting it’s a rural area but with neighbors and cars you do occasionally hear, and the camp sites aren’t fully private unless you pick the forest site (which is great for a couple but too small for larger groups). The bathroom and sink are in the barn and very clean and kept up — a nice plus!

We really enjoyed our stay at the farm, 5 kids camping for 3 nights, slept by the pigs and horses, kids loved it! Had a great horseback ride and really enjoyed the farm, will stay again!

Site 5 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
Unique Opportunity to Camp on aFarm
We chose to pitch our tent right next to the pigs and chickens, with a good view of the horses...a real farm experience. Hailey and Kate were incredible as they invited our young granddaughter to ride on her first horse and to watch them run their horses. The girls spent a lot of time with us, offered lots of interesting little facts about the horses and the other animals, and encouraged our granddaughter to interact with the ferrets and rabbit. It's now a week later, and Paige is still talking about all of the fun she had with the girls on the farm. THANKS :)

Site 4 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
We stayed over night for the 4th of July! The perfect amount of quiet and festivities! The horses, hospitality, and nature were just what we might have hoped for, a walk through the barn and into the wooded trails then onto a campfire where we toasted marshmallows and relaxed until bed. Lovely visit.

Site 2 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
We stayed in camp site #2, which had a fire pit, picnic table, and a garbage bin nearby—very convenient! We were also able to pull the car up near our spot to make loading and unloading easier.
It was fun to see the pigs, chickens, and ducks, which were near our camp. If you’re a light sleeper like me, I’d recommend bringing ear plugs since sometimes the animals made some noise throughout the night.
It was also convenient to have an indoor, clean bathroom, which is very luxurious compared to some other campsite amenities I’ve experienced.
It was a fun and unique camping experience. It was also about eight or ten miles away from South Bend, so it was just isolated enough but not completely out in the middle of nowhere.

A real farm experience! You'll be right with the pigs, horses and chickens. My kids loved it. Bathroom available too, which is a huge perk. Plenty of firewood for fires and ghost stories.

Site 3 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
FYI to First timers to Hipcamp
This was our first time using Hipcamp. It was nice that they were flexible with changing the location of where we were camping, as I didn’t realize space #3 was directly in their backyard. We never met Annette, but one of the children there was very helpful. We weren’t informed that we could have a campfire at our site, so I’m thankful the 2nd night we were told we could. And the last morning we stayed there, we were locked out of the bathroom for awhile as there was a friend of their family who had stayed the night in the bathroom.
It was a learning experience but it ended well.

Anette and her family did not disappoint! They were very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the kids for taking us on a sunset trail ride as well.
Everything from the farm fresh eggs to the pigs and bunnies roaming freely. An amazing experience. Would totally recommend to a friend.

We took the site in the woods which if you want a bit of privacy I would strongly recommend. Was a lovely wee spot and we had a great night. The young girls that look after the horses were super helpful and we would recommend this location.

Anette was super responsive and when we arrived we were given a warm welcome and a tour. One area of the campsite is not completely flat so we pitched our tents in a flatter area. My daughter (age 6) instantly fell in love with the place and the horses and it was lovely how they were welcomed to help with farm chores, feed the horses etc - it was chore to get her to leave when our stay was over.
Amenities are basic but clean and do the job.
We will be back as I won’t hear the end of it from my daughter if we don’t!

Our stay at Anette's farm was awesome. Tons of animals for us to hang out with, had a great mini riding lesson and ride. Bathroom was great. Anette was helpful and welcoming. The young women who volunteer there were absolutely the best.
You are staying on a farm, so there is a lot of poop around, which if you're tent camping, is something to get used to.

We (myself, my wife, my 11-month-old) had a wonderful time camping on the grounds of this charming, welcoming stables. Our hosts settled us and encouraged us to feel completely at home. There were beautiful horses and grunting pigs who amazed and awed our baby. Our campsite was near the entrance to a trail through fields and woods for horseback riding and walking. We were delighted to receive fresh eggs from their chickens! Anette, Bob and family made us feel so welcome, and also gave us space to enjoy the animals and nature. The landscape was amazing. We really enjoyed our time just off the horse’s trail!

We all felt safe with the kids running around looking at the animals. Everyone was very nice and hospitable. The girls there are super nice and helpful and very knowledgeable about the horses. Overall we had a wonderful time.

We took some first time campers there and now they arebhooked. Our host was extremely accommodating. The farm was interesting and we topped if of with horse rides. I recommend without reservations.

A Night At The Zoo
Horses, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs, and a rabbit. What a great experience. Bob and Anette were fantastic. They showed us how to use the shower in the barn, left a charcoal kit for cooking on the grill on the firepit and plenty of wood for the camp fire. What else could you want? We stayed behind the stable and barn so we could see the horses coming in and out. There are horse trails that go into the woods behind the farm, and you can backpack it and camp in there if you wish. My kids absolutely loved it, and we will definitely be going back.

We stayed two days and had a great time. Anette was very nice and everyone in town was really great too. There is a state park really close and we made a day of that too. Its a great spot if you're looking to get away for a day or two. We are definitely going back some day soon!

Site 4 - Just Off the Horse Trail...
I can't say enough about The Riding Stable and Resort- we planned very last minute and wanted a unique family experience and we definitely got one! The grounds were fantastic, Annette was a lovely host & the animals were THE BEST! Our girls are already talking about when we can return- and we definitely will. We were able to arrange trail rides which were a real highlight. The bathroom was rudimentary but did the trick and the shower itself was an experience. Great visit!
