Mixed feelings

Disappointing for the high price
I have mixed feelings about this site because it didn't look like the photos.
Let's start with the positives: the view is amazing (nice mountains and amazing for seeing the stars), the site is in a peaceful neighborhood, the hosts were responsive, the space had everything we needed and the platform was great to install the tent.
Most of the negative aspect come from the fact that it didn't look like the photos. There's an old campervan right by the side. We arrived late at night and though the campsite was already taken. The campervan is in bad state and we scared that's what we had to use for the restrooms (it wasn't, we could use a basement apartment in their house). The other issue was that there was stuff all over the platform (pots, old bathtub, etc.) that made it look like a storage area more than a campsite. With high price of this campsite, we would have expected much better.
I think this campsite is really close to being amazing. Here's what the hosts could improve:
- Remove the junk on/around the platform.
- Remove the campervan if it's not functional or at least close the door and make it clear we don't have to use it.
- Add a sign to point to platform from the driveway (to avoid confusion).

Great experience. Great man, in other words the GOAT( greatest of all time) we came late and this man was up and waiting. Amazing place, great views. All round amazing experience. Would do again, I’d bring him cakes next time we show up for how great of a man this dude was much love Danh and Casey

The site was exactly as advertised, clean and quiet. Absolutely stunning views of the mountain and nice firepit on site. Very friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed. Would 100% recommend to anyone camping in the region!

Super cute place! It was close to a neighborhood with houses under construction but the little nook where we were staying had really nice views and the deck bath was super nice!

Silje and James were incredible hosts. We witnessed a breathtaking display of shooting stars under the starry sky. The campsite's proximity to a captivating trail leading to Mosquito Lake added to the overall charm. I highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking an escape from the city and a chance to immerse themselves in nature's beauty and warm hospitality.

If I’m being honest I was really unimpressed. I’ve never left a bad review before and I’ve camped all over the US and Canada. The photos are pretty, and accurate, but what you can’t see is if you zoom out, you’re basically just camping out in someone’s neighborhood backyard surrounded by junk. The city noises are loud, you can hear the neighbors close by, and there is a big ugly new construction not even 30 yards away. Not the best view. The next night I stayed at Nairn Falls campground and that was far nicer and half the price. They didn’t even really attempt to clean up, and it honestly felt like I was a homeless person paying to camp out. And I’d rather use a pit toilet than that hot sweaty beat up RV with no door to it.

Pemberton is very cute and we loved the view of the Currie Mountain from the deck tent. The family was very nice and they helped us with an issue with our tent. Very grateful for that. Our 2 small tents had enough place on the deck and we could put our 2 chairs too. We had access to the bathroom (no shower) in the basement of Silje’s house and it was clean. The small negative point is that you have to “climb” up to the deck and there is no step. The car must be parked away closer to the house.
We recommend this pretty calm place in the mountain and close to Joffre Lakes Park and 20 minutes to Whistler.

The owners are a very nice couple, very welcoming.
The property is beautiful with a stunning view on the mountains. It is very quiet and the decks are surrounded by trees and flowers. We definitely recommend this place for camping, it was a great experience overall.
