Hammock City
The campsite is located at the Dunn lake 34 road sign. The road was loose gravel, don’t bring your sedan. The campsite is pretty big and has several spots to setup tent. The hammock city didn’t had any hammocks. There are creeks flowing between the campground ground.

Matt was a great host! Him and his dog met us at the gate and gave us a full tour of his property. He allowed us to choose from a couple different camping sites and even allowed us to pick things from his garden if we wanted 😄 if we have the chance we are certainly coming back and trying out one of the VW van rental campsites

Quaint little private property about a 35 minute drive up a mostly dirt mountain road from Clearwater, so a fair drive out of the way if looking for a pit stop when driving through. Matt greeted me upon arrival both nights and was very warm and welcoming. My plans didn’t allow for much time at the site so I essentially just slept when I got back, but tenting sites are communal and don’t offer much privacy.

This place was way off the road (this was meant to be a pit stop between Vancouver and Jasper) and I didn’t realize you had to travel for about 45 minutes off the main road, parts of it gravel to get there. When we arrived the hosts were very friendly but the spots they showed us were small and muddy. The property is unkept snd there were horseflies buzzing us everytime we got out of the vehicle. We didn’t end up staying so kept on driving and ended up staying somewhere else in Clearwater.
This was my first hip camp experience so I don’t have anything yo compare it to, so maybe this is the norm?
I do want to reiterate that Dakota who showed us around was really nice.

Hammock City
We loved camping on Matt's land. On arrival we were welcomed by the hosts and given all the necessary information to get settled in. When booking the place, we did not appreciate there us a common lodge with amenities for cooking. This was a great surprise, and a wonderful space to meet other people staying on the site. A fun space to stay for a while or on your way around the region.

Matt was an awesome host! I made a mistake booking a walk in site but actually needed a drive in site. He was very flexible and accommodated us last minute. The area is very quiet and peaceful. He also chopped up some wood for us to have a fire. It was a great stay and we would come back again.

This was a great place to stay! Matt was a super nice host and very accommodating. If you’re looking for a great sleep in a unique setting you will love listening to the creek as you fall asleep in the cozy tent.

We got there very late so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the surrounding area. The host, Matt, gave us very clear instructions and the creek nearby was the perfect white noise. There were twinkle lights arrive hammock city and the pit toilets were really well maintained.

This was a lovely spot! We stayed over on our way to Jasper from Vancouver and it was a perfect layover. They have built lots of cozy little spots on the property and the creek flowing through is super scenic. Matt was super communicative and helpful. Would stay again!

Matt was such an attentive host! The space is truly a unique space for open-minded and eclectic campers. We were just passing though for the night so we couldn't really explore the area. We'd stay there again if we find ourselves in the area and go for a lake dip.
One thing to note is that you need to go through some back roads to get to the location. Make sure your car has some clearance! Cellular reception is dodgy-- send those final messages upon arrival. Otherwise, such a cute spot-- a real labour of love!

The Garlic Patch Campground
I had a great time camping on Matt’s land. This place is tucked in the woods, right next to a creek. The sound of the running water is so therapeutic. Matt is a friendly person, made some hot pakoras for us, which was so kind of him. Next to his property there is a lake, which is beautiful too.

I loved camping by the creek in hammock city. The property is a beautiful hidden oasis with so much to offer. Running creeks, hiking trails, and Dunn Lake just down the road. I drank my coffee next to the creek with my book and loved how calming the creek was. The outhouse was a work of art and very clean. I really enjoyed by stay and would highly recommend it 10/10.
