was a park like setting and the hosts treated us well unfortunately messages sent through Hipcamp to the hosts are not received so they have a difficult time knowing when you are arriving. Defiantly plan on a return visit

Overall the place is beautiful! However, although it's stated on the app that this place hosts weddings/birthdays/parties etc, we were unaware that there would be a wedding the night we booked. Maybe it's an app issue that she can't choose the option of letting guests know when the booked parties are, idk. But there's no curfew for noise in this area so the music was going for quite some time.
After booking we were told to message the owner an hour ahead of time. We did, but no answer. Maybe she was helping plan for the wedding, idk.
We get there and no one answers the door to check in so we just ..drove...around...luckily there was a nice gentleman from the wedding that night using a space to camp there and gave us directions.
As for the campsite itself, it was a good first experience for my kids. The ranch was gorgeous and there were no issues in the firepit/picnic table area. We woke up to beautiful cows greeting us.
I am not saying this will be our experience, or yours, whe. You visit. Just an honest review from a fellow camper.

Beautiful, quiet property with amazing prairie skies and sunsets. Curious cattle from the adjacent property came to say hello and we got plenty of glimpses of deer, red winged black birds, hawks and fire flies. If you need a peaceful getaway not too far from Calgary this is a great place to check out.

Absolutely stunning place to spend a night! We brought in our 36ft motorhome and enjoyed a very peaceful, magical setting for the evening. Between the grounds, the horse, and watching a beautiful sunset, we loved our stay here.

Wonderful location that’s a short drive from Calgary. Beautiful sunsets and country views. Close to town, Eagle Lake and Wyndham-Carsland Provincial Park. Spacious and private spots complete with picnic tables and fire pits Experience includes access to park-like pond area. Keri is an attentive and gracious host. Will be back.

They were so nice and accommodating, because of some trouble we were quite late, but they still came out and helped us despite the situation, and the place was beautiful and quiet. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anybody who wants a nice camping spot.

I loved tent camping, and this place was very quiet, peaceful and very good maintained. The single problem was the fire baned, so we couldn’t make a barbecue. Kari was a very nice host, bringing us a table to our camping side and telling us all the information we needed.
Thank you for your hospitality and I will really recommend this camping site.

We loved the Gathering Ranch Camping site. It was the most relaxing, quiet and pleasant experience ever! The location is great, the views are beautiful and the welcoming from the owners (Kari and Aaron) was “Exceptional”! We will definitely go back and recommend this site to anyone that are looking for a real connection with the nature. Loved, loved, loved it!

Very nice property and Kari is so kind and friendly. Gave all the info and explained every thing before check in and I really appreciated it. She kept saying to let her know if we need anything and was very easy to communicate with. The camping spot is at the back of the property and there is fence all around for safety. It’s open land camping and there is nice big fire pit. There is only a handful of camping spots so it’s quite and beautiful night sky. There was morning coffee available too. My dog loved being free and I enjoyed watching her have fun the way she likes.

Great experience! Easy to follow instructions and beautiful property. Bring bug spray! The property was very fun to walk around and the host was very kind. Also located 5 min away from a grocery store and gas station in strathmore. Some other campers near by but was quiet!
