Very understanding and responsive. Not luxurious but completely functional and well thought out. Beautiful property and perfect for those wanting to not sleep on the ground but still rough it a bit and have a clean place to sleep or get out of the rain or sun.

It was very secluded and very quiet. The outhouse was probably the cleanest and nicest smelling one I've ever been in! No light pollution at night so it was perfect for stargazing.

Absolutely fantastic The Zen Den!

This was my first time camping solo and certainly not the last! Mark & Maxine are so kind and had everything ready for me with mattress, pillows, fridge, cooking pots/pans etc. It was very clean and well kept inside and there was lots of seating included a fireplace outside. The huge pond (one of many on property) was only 30sec walk away and absolutely beautiful. I met their huge and very friendly dog Bodhi and he was such a sweatheart, we explored tons of trails together for 2 hours! I highly recommend, its such a cool property to explore with tiny houses Mark has built, hidden gems and seating spots to find along the trail and so peaceful and quiet. Thank you for your kindness and hosting Mark & Maxine. It was an absolute pleasure!

Overall we had a great experience. There were just a few things we thought could be improved. The pictures posted while were accurate for prior days, it has aged and wasn't as cozy as the pictures shown. The are was extremely dull so we weren't able to cut the wood. We did have an amazing time and the lovely visits from the dogs.

Maxo Relaxo

Perfect place to chill in nature. Enjoyed roaming the paths and finding edible berries. Loved hanging out with the pooches. Definitely will be back in the future. Great place for star gazing. Thank you Maxine and Mark, excited to see your finished tiny homes.

Me and my boyfriend stayed and it was so nice! The land is beautiful, quiet and private. We ended up having to leave one night early, but we’ll definitely be going back and trying out the other sites they have. They have 2 beautiful dogs, and Saskatoon bushes everywhere! Try unique!

Inside of the tent trailer was ok, not sure about it being “revamped” but the exterior and surrounding areas need work. There just seemed to be a lot of unincorporated wood laying around plus all the unfinished projects look like they’ve been frozen in time untouched for years. Walking around the property I thought “this was once a really nice place to be”. Overall needs work but could be decent eventually.

Had a lovely one night stay at the Sweet Spot. Hosts were friendly and responsive : Mark helped me find the site and showed me around , even brought some free firewood . There were Saskatoon berries for picking and found some raspberries bushes in the woods as well . My dog liked exploring the trails and I enjoyed the view of the pond while having a fire.

Decent but one visit only

Pros: This campsite was actually pretty nice for one person, maybe two. It is pretty separate from the other locations which is next to a bunch of wood in a junkyard like setup. The seclusion was really nice to have. The campfire was really cool! Someone offered to drop off additional wood on my second night, which I didn’t need but appreciated. Bodhi, the big dog, barked when I first arrived but was very friendly once he decided to approach me. Cons: This one isn’t their fault, but the directions the owner sent me on the HipCamp app couldn’t be accessed offline, though the app claims it can. This was a bit annoying because they only have coordinates and google maps takes you to a different road. Having signs next to the site or something would be better for navigating especially since no one was around to welcome me like the listing suggests. The toilet is just a bucket with a seat and what I think was sawdust to cover your business. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it would be nice to know. It was in a nice little shack though which was nice. It rained on the day I had to leave and I sunk into the road crush that wasn’t tamped down and where I had to park my car. Overall: I would probably not stay here again. I could stay at Miquelon for just a bit more after taxes and fees plus have access to drinking water, hiking trails, and more.

This was our first Hipcamp experience, so we really didn't know what to expect. That said, we both had a super enjoyable time! The communication from Mark and Maxine was excellent. The site was very quiet, and fairly secluded. We found our spirit guide in their dog Bodhi, and thoroughly enjoyed his (and Addie, their other dog's) company while we were here. Unfortunately it was raining when we arrived, otherwise we would have taken advantage of the firepit. We were trying out our SUV tent for the first time, and are happy to say it worked out incredibly well. The only thing to be aware of, with our site at least, was it was difficult to find level ground, so that could definitely affect your setup. Regardless, we had a great time and look forward to doing more hipcamping in the future.

We were really looking forward to our stay at Campbellville, but the tent site based on the description, didn’t live up to expectations. The photos and listing gave the impression of a more secluded, well-maintained, and comfortable setting, but what we experienced was quite different. That said, the natural surroundings were beautiful, and the area has potential. However more accurate advertising is needed. I’d recommend future guests reach out directly to the host for up-to-date details.

Amazing experience!

A group of us went out for a celebration graduating college, and this place was amazing! Camp dog Bodhi is the sweetest dog ever, he was very smart in making his rounds and loved hanging around with us. Would 100% recommend this camp to anyone looking for something not too far from the city but just enough of a getaway to enjoy the stars and nature ☺️

The Landing

This was a repeat booking for us, and as always, it was a great time. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Don’t forget to bring some extra treats for the good boy while you’re there—he definitely deserves them! Highly recommend this spot, and we’ll absolutely be coming back again.

I had a fantastic stay! The property is very well maintained, and the camper van was cute & cozy, came with all the essentials, making it incredibly comfortable. The compost toilet was impressively clean, which added to the convenience. This spot is a perfect, peaceful getaway just outside of Edmonton. Our host Maxine was amazing, made sure we had everything set before arrival and very responsive!
