Established in 1970, Montara Wines is owned by the Stapleton family. 200km West of Melbourne in the Grampians region, Montara has the most captivating panorama of plains, mountains and vines. With amazing views and even better crafted wine, we make the perfect get away. Each of our sites are very spacious valuing the privacy of each of our guests. There is a portable toilet available to use. We have pizzas, cocktails, beer and wine available at cellar door. Please look at our facebook page for opening hours and upcoming events. With either the choice of our cosy glamping tents, camping sites or tiny homes situated over many acres, we invite you to come and have a taste of perfection... literally.

Lovely spot next to the vineyard and situated near the Grampians. Massive downside however, is there are no toilets within walking distance to site 14. Toileting involved getting in the car or walking 20 mins which is difficult with toddlers.

Great stay. Great wines.
A fantastic set up, with the sites and location having all you could ask for. Boots was a great welcome host, giving us all the tips to make the most of the epic sun rises, facilities and cellar door. Site 3 was a superb location, with its own secluded area next to the vines. Watching the sunset on the cellar door deck with a drop of red and wood fired pizzas are also a must do for rounding out your stay!

Great location, we camped right next to a couple of beautiful horses! It was hadn’t having the cellar door right there, and super close to town as well.

It’s a gorgeous spot. We were there over school holidays/Easter so it definitely wasn’t a secluded site, but our site was spacious and the neighbors were friendly. The stars and kangaroo-filled sunrises were unreal. We loved having access to the cellar door for evening live music and pizza. The property forbade campfires, but allowed use of our gas stove. We’ll certainly return.
