Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. Escape off grid to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the cattle grazing in the paddocks, spot the native birdlife or cuddle up by the fire in your own secluded paradise. Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction campsite, to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with off-road tyres. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (weight and length restrictions apply) however caravans are not suitable due to the steep terrain. A portaloo is within walking distance to some campsites, otherwise your camp MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. .For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

This is honest to god the best spot to camp around the sunny coast even south east Queensland, the views are mint and campsites are nice and spaced apart! Keen to get back here asap

Maleny - The Junction
3rd time at Rivendell and 2nd time at The Junction and it's quickly becoming our favourite spot to go whenever we need to just get away from it all, even for a night. The cacophony of the running creeks was deafening compared to last time we were here, after all the recent rain, but in the best way - the perfect ASMR soundtrack, combined with a crackling fire and whip birds. While the Ocean View campsites are probably popular for their views, this spot is not to be underestimated; for the privacy, and sense that you've been transported to a set from The Lord Of The Rings or Jurassic Park.

Really can’t beat this spot for the best campsite view! Even a rainy and muddy weekend couldn’t put us off staying here. We will be back 🙂
