We are located right outside the Swift Current city limits. Hidden away in the privacy of coulees on our 120 acres, in view of the city, you can drive right up to the front door of our tiny house. This quaint haven sleeps up to 4 people with a queen-size bed and 2 twins. We are a 4 season stay and have a wood burning stove to add to your stay in the winter months! Your rental comes with clean sheets and towel, dry firewood, coffee and tea and potable water. The SHOWER HOUSE where you will have your own private bathroom, is located in a separate building a hop, skip and a jump away from your tiny house. We have recently added a tiny Nordic spa with a sauna, hot tub and cold plunge pool. This is an add on of an additional $25/person. Just let us know if you’d like to enjoy this amenity during your stay. This tiny house is a passion project for my husband, myself and our 3 daughters. We hope you have as much fun exploring, playing and making memories on this land as we do.

1 night at Hidden Haven 1.0 (the Elle)

I’d like to preface this review by saying that I am greatly invested in the spa industry- I’ve owned a wellness spa, am an RMT, have visited countless Nordic spas all over North America, and even had my Certified Pool Operator certification. Hands down, this was one of *the best* spas I’ve been to, from the big chains to the small privately owned. The Nordic spa was immaculately clean and so thoughtfully designed. The sauna was a proper sauna, big enough to lay down and 2 tier. The hot tub was so clean, no scum lines, no weird smells, and is probably one of the only ones I’ve been in that I didn’t question if I should be testing the water. The building was awesome, it rained while I was in there on the clear roof and views all around. This would be an excellent spot to spend a day with a group of friends or your lover, and just chill on the most beautiful property. The tiny house itself, also immaculate, so thoughtful in design. Everything you needed, was there. The land was incredible, I took my 3 dogs walking through endless fields and they had the best time ever. They were literally mad when we left in the morning. Hosts were awesome, great communicators, and very welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer (I tried to move in but they’re fully booked). 100/10 recommend, and hope to return to this little hidden gem someday.

Where to go

Grasslands National Park

Take a scenic drive along the Badlands Parkway to spot bison from your vehicle, then set up camp at one of the many spectacular Grasslands campsites in the wide-open plains of this vast prairie park. Hiking and kayaking are epic, and if that's not enough, the park's Dark Sky Preserve means you'll be sleeping beneath a carpet of stars. Stay the night at Grasslands to experience front and backcountry camping, tipis, and oTENTiks.

Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park

Located in a valley along the South Saskatchewan River, this quiet park offers a beach, hiking trails, and a boat launch so campers can get out on the water for swimming or fishing. Plenty of camping is available within the park.

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park

Spanning parts of both Saskatchewan and Alberta, Cypress Hills' Saskatchewan side features a Centre Block and a West Block. The former has all the amenities you could want with a swimming beach, hiking trails, an observatory, and even zipline canopy tours, while the West Block is for wilderness campers with more rustic facilities and a horse campground.

When to go

For most campers, Southern Saskatchewan is best visited between May and September, though it may still be a little chilly until mid-June, so dress in layers and pack a sweater or two. Even summer nights can get cool. If you are into winter camping and its complementary activities (ice fishing and snowmobiling are big here), winter campsites are open but unlikely to offer power or water.

Know before you go

Campers should never get close to bison herds. Use common sense around whatever wildlife you run into on your Saskatchewan trip and keep your distance.
Entry fees apply in Canada’s national parks, as do camping fees. Popular campsites can book out early, so it's best to book online as soon as you know your dates to secure your spot.
Getting around Swift Current without a car will be pretty much impossible.
