We absolutely loved the suspended tent experience and secret paradise on Alex's land. It was heaven. Super private, so much space and little corners to enjoy peace, beauty and nature's rhythms. Alex is an amazing host, even the wildlife on his land are happy, playful and fun. We enjoyed watching the otter family swim all day, who made sure to get our attention multiple times. We felt safe, supported and left very inspired. We are grateful and very blessed for this experience. Thank you Alex :)

Very happy to have this opportunity to share our experience at Tamarak Grove. Lisa and Bren are the perfect hosts and have created a true oasis for those of us seeking the exceptional experiences "off the beaten path". The property is private and peaceful, with a totally relaxed vibe. It’s hard to believe it’s so conveniently close to Montreal. We went to explore downtown, and it took us just 20 minutes door to door. The caravan/retro camper itself is worthy of a magazine feature. So tastefully designed for comfort and practicality, down to the last cool detail. It's a shame we only had two days there, we'll be back for sure. Big thanks for the warm welcome and looking forward to our next excuse to escape to Tamarak Grove

I had an absolute blast, Alex is an amazing host! I felt so welcome, a home away from home 🩵 The views are breathtaking. I stayed on the private site with the suspended tent which was pretty neat. I loved the fact that there was 2 fire pits, one to cook and one to enjoy ! I walked around the site and it was perfect, fresh air and and beautiful fresh water stream to admire. It was our second time staying at Matthew’s camp and yet again we have nothing but good things to say! He was very accommodating to our later arrival and helped bring our things to our site. This time we stayed at Eagle’s camp and the view did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the clean, and well stocked amenities. After driving on the private road for 10 min, we arrived at a charming rustic Log Cabin, which can sleep up to 7 people, a basic kitchen ( 2-burner hotplate, fridge, sink; dishes, pots and pans, cutlery available). There is a beautiful view of the lake, which can be accessed via a short path down the hill. There was a dock, 2 kayaks and a canoe. which kept our young teens busy. Also a nice fire pit, with extra rocks to sit on. Matthew is a very nice, welcoming and accommodating host.

2 nights at Dobedo Camps

My fiancé and I had a two night stay at Camp Raven in the beginning of August to celebrate our anniversary. As someone who grew up in the city and has never experienced camping in any capacity, I was as excited as I was nervous. Luckily, thanks to how naturally beautiful and welcoming this reserve of nature is, along with Matthew’s kindness and empathetic hosting, coming back to Camp Raven is something we’re very excited to make a tradition out of! The highlights for me have got to be: The amazing quality of the lakes, the boating (kayaking and canoeing), the campfires we were able to make right next to our lodging, the hiking trails surrounded by trees, and the view right from our cabin/lodge! I’d highly recommend Camp Raven to beginners like myself, as well as experienced campers. The various activities mentioned above, Matthew’s kindness and professionalism, along with the vast and beautiful nature reserve is sure to be an overall incredible experience for anyone. I feel very thankful to have found Camp Raven and look very forward to coming back soon!

Stayed in the Rock Face guesthouse with two friends of mine, we were lucky enough to have the whole site to ourselves which was lovely! For those whole are curious, there was intermittent cell reception just in case you'd like to text your loved ones but not fast enough to do much else, which is the way it should be imo. Gorgeous piece of land and Matthew was very kind and gracious for our whole stay. Would highly recommend a weekend getaway here if you're in Montreal or the nearby area.

Beautiful campground lots to see and do. It's very relaxing. Do bring your bug repellents the flies are out to get you. highly reccomend the kayak and portage trails. Perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Matthew was super nice and helpful!
