Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls
Neil has a great place 30 minutes away from Gatineau! U get plenty of privacy on his property. We've enjoyed the sound of the water crrek at night. There is a wood heater inside the tent so the temperature was not too cold in mid october. There is a grocery store 5 min from the camp.... Very convinient. Would recommend!

3 nights at Meech Creek Falls
This is a sweet little spot. The waterfall and river are epic. Loved relaxing in the comfortable hammock too. The glamping tent is spacious and well kept with a comfortable bed and all the extra bedding one might need. It’s nice to have the shaded outdoor sitting area that’s screened in. We did not use the sauna, but the shower is ice cold- just a heads up- no warm water. The tap water is excellent drinking water. The compost toilet situation is about what you’d expect- definitely no frills. While the fridge and laundry did not work at the time we were there, Neil was accommodating by providing daily ice and offering his machine. He was very responsive to all communication and overall we enjoyed our stay.

1 night at Meech Creek Falls
Meech Creek Falls is our new favourite getaway! Neal is a wonderful host, very friendly with a detailed tour to help us feel at home and make best use of the space. Very private and quiet, with amenities that are as creative and charming as they are convenient. We loved how easy it was to spend almost every moment out of doors enjoying the beautiful surroundings. This is a setup where you won't have to worry too much about the weather, as it would be quite adaptable to different conditions. The waterfall is not just beautiful but tons of fun to climb and explore, with a few great spots to wade in for a swim and sunny banks to rest on. Tent was cozy and clean with a comfortable mattress. Sleeping to the noise of the falls cannot be beat. We will be back for sure!

Very nice place quiet just love the sound of the falls in the creek nice yurt lot of room inside big gazebo Neal show us everything very friendly and sauna very nice very good place to relax with the falls just behind you sleep like a baby bicycle path 2 min away kayak 2 min away on the Gatineau river nice little camp fire a night awnsome place wiil go back again

Had such a wonderful glamping trip here with my son and puppy! The site had everything we needed, it’s clear how much care and love has gone into creating and maintaining this beautiful place. The sound of the creek running by all day and night was soo peaceful, and we all slept very well. There’s also lots to do in the area, making it a perfect little getaway when you want to escape the city without going too far. Ten out of ten recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing, and memorable stay!

We went tent camping at Ray and Melissa’s and it was fantastic!! We got to pet chickens, alpacas, and we learned so much on our alpaca walk. In the evening, we settled in with our campfire and watched hundreds of fireflies dancing on a field of wildflowers. Such a perfect camping spot, I can’t recommend enough!

Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls
Neal is a really great host and made this whole experience worth coming to. The campsite was exactly what we were looking for. It's perfect if you just want to relax and connect with mother nature and destress away from everyday life. Definitely recommend to everyone. My husband and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish and plan on coming back. Might just be our new favorite vacation spot

Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls
We loved the whole experience from start to finish. Neal was an amazing host who made sure anything we would have needed was already there for us and everything was beautiful. The sauna was the perfect relaxing along with the view and sound of the falls. It was really great along with the outdoor kitchen and even a woodstove for those chilly mornings/ nights was a very nice touch, 20/10 would recommend for anyone who is looking to decompress from the work week and relax all while having a grocery store and gas station within 3 minute drive to make good use of the kitchen outdoors, anyways we had a great time thanks for having us!!!

My husband and I camped for the night in our roof top tent. We had such a warm greeting from the hosts and Mary showed us around the property. The property is beautiful. We walked through the woods and up the mountains. The animals were our favourite part of the visit. Overall, it was the perfect 24 hour getaway! And the stars at night were magnificent. It was a clear and cool night. We will be back!

The best camping near Gracefield with snow sports guide
When to go
Though experienced campers might want to venture out to the Gracefield area in winter, the best time for enjoying all on offer is between May to October. May and June can be wet and still chilly, and your warmest weather will be in mid-July through to the end of August—though be wary of mosquitoes and blackflies. Pack extra-strength bug spray and you’ll be fine.
Know before you go
- This isn’t a region you can explore without a vehicle.
- You can’t always rely on cellphone reception in this remote area, so be sure to pack maps and make sure to share your location with a loved one if trekking off into the distance.
- You can rent canoes and kayaks, as well as get advice on where to go and what to see, at local Gracefield outfitter Carpe Diem Adventures,
- There's an EV charging station in Gracefield.
- In more remote spots in Quebec, English fluency is less common. It's a good idea to have a translation app ready on your phone.
