Group trip
The cabin is cute and was nice and warm. Friends were able to sleep in their tent outside and it was cozy. The bed in the lower area is extremely firm but the one upstairs is comfy.

Weekend Trip to Marigold Farm Cabin
If you need a quiet, peaceful place with a beautiful house, I highly recommend it. The owner is very welcoming. The house is clean, cozy, and warm. There is a stove you can light yourself. There is a fire pit outside. It was ready to use when we arrived.

We booked this cabin through HipCamp and were left with rather mixed impressions. The cabin itself is very cozy, styled like a hunting lodge, with a true “retro” atmosphere. Inside everything is simple but tasteful — it really feels like a little corner of nature where you can disconnect from everyday life. We genuinely enjoyed this authenticity and sense of peace.
Unfortunately, at the very end of our stay, a situation occurred that spoiled the overall impression. As we were getting ready to leave, the hosts let out their large dog. The animal behaved quite aggressively, which felt unsafe — especially since we had our 4-month-old baby with us. We really appreciated the atmosphere of this place, but it would be important for the hosts to consider this issue with pets, as guest safety matters a lot.
Overall, the place has great potential for a wonderful stay, and we sincerely hope this aspect will be addressed.

We had a great time Glamping here with our two little boys! It was the perfect way to camp in comfort (and warmth) with them. The cabins/tents and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There was access to running water (non-potable) for dishes. The sauna was brand new and a definite touch of luxury. The staff were so friendly and approachable.

4 nights at Trappers Hill Lodges & Campground
Wow what an experience, the drive up was a bit rough our first time but after the 2nd time it was no problem, our Honda civic got us through no problem! We loved the view from our cabin and enjoyed the sauna and Cold plunge after long days and in the early mornings. And we had Dusty (Campground cat) keep us company during the rain fall in the mornings and cuddles by the fire at night time on our last night. Coming from manitoba to camping in the mountains was an absolute adventure and would/will 100% come back, we had a leak in our cabin but Pete came and sealed it up the next day and gave us a free bundle of wood for any troubles we delt with. I recommend this place highly as its an experience you will never forget! Me and my honey will never forget our adventures there and am glad we found this gem.

Weekend Trip to Marigold Farm Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at Timothy's cabin! It was easy to find, and matched the description. The cabin was cozy and had thoughtful touches, and had a microwave, hot plate, and fridge. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom/ composting toilet was clean and well maintained.
Timothy was gracious and showed us around the farm and introduced us to the chickens! There was supplies for a fire, although we didn't end up building one. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for just one night, but it was everything we needed and more. The cabin was rustic, cozy, and full of charm — the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. The wood interiors, warm lighting, and quiet surroundings made it feel like a true escape from the noise of everyday life.
Even though it was a short stay, it felt special. Perfect for a night of disconnecting and reconnecting. Wish we had more time!
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a simple, peaceful retreat in nature.

Weekend Trip to Marigold Farm Cabin
Marigold Farm is tucked away in a quiet stretch of farmland, about a 30-minute drive from High River, Okotoks, and Strathmore. We visited at the end of June and experienced overnight temperatures as low as 4°C. I had seen the wood-burning heater in the photos and expected it might be chilly—but the cabin was wonderfully cozy and warm!
There are a number of thoughtful touches and amenities that aren’t mentioned in the listing. The cabin is equipped with a toaster oven, a single-burner hot plate, a couple of pots, a kettle, utensils, and dishes—everything we needed for a simple and comfortable stay.
While there's no running or potable water on-site, a 5-gallon jug for washing was provided, and to our surprise, there was also a large bottle of drinking water waiting in the fridge—such a kind and thoughtful detail.
The surrounding farmland makes for a peaceful, restful night with no noise or light pollution—just calm and quiet.
Thank you, Timothy, for creating such a lovely space. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay!

It was our first time in the area and at Trappers Hill. We normally head to the National Parks - so glad we didn’t this time!
We stayed in a Trappers Cabin - exceptional view!! with a comfy cabin, rustic and peaceful. The shower facilities and outhouses were well maintained and the camp managers, Pete and Erin (and family) made us so welcome.
We spent some time at nearby Ghost Lake and a hike near Canmore - about 1 hour away. It was a perfect weekend and we already booked again for August.

1 night at Trappers Hill Lodges & Campground
I discovered this place by chance and chose to stay here as the final stop of my Banff-Jasper road trip.
Although I arrived late, I could instantly feel how amazing this place is.
The sauna was excellent, the cabin was beautiful, and the off-road trail was just perfect everything came together to create such a precious memory.
I highly recommend this place.

I loved this place! Everything is cleaned and well maintained. Especially, I was worried about compose toilet but it was neat! And there was welcome fire on firepit which I really appreciate it.
The mattress and bedding is cozy and you will be fall asleep! I recommend this place to stay and I would definitely come again!
