We did not actually stay long. We got in late and wasn't sure where we needed to go and it took a bit to find the restrooms. If we had arrived earlier, it would not have been an issue. Very quiet and the stars were beautiful.
We will be back!
The Big Quiet is such a hidden gem! We loved it so much we stayed a 2nd night. My kids loved running in the field and sitting by the fire at night making smorea. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! Also, everything was super clean! We will for sure go back!!
Stayed in the large wall tent. Has 4 cots and thick sleeping bags. Great site. Shower is excellent. Rod is the man and his breakfast is killer, it’s worth staying for.
Ask Rod for Yellowstone advice. He told us the route to drive, which was vastly different than our original plan. His advice was spot on and made for a great Yellowstone experience. I’d stay again.
One of the best and most unique experiences of my life! When we first arrived, there was a little confusion about which tent we were staying in, but the other guests were gracious and we worked it out quickly. If you enjoy the melodic sounds of nature, animals in the nearby field, hammocks by a babbling brook, amazing sunsets, shooting stars under a Milky Way sky, and campfires shared with friendly strangers, this place is for you! Rod was a knowledgable and friendly host. Not only did he advise us where to go, he shared personal stories, stories of the Crow Indians, Japanese internment camp, and the history of Heart Mountain with us. Our conversations with him truly made our trip extra special.
Beautiful scenery and quiet space.
Mickey was super nice and helpful with figuring out which tent was ours. Didn’t see Rod at all. I was disappointed that I paid 88$ and wasn’t served the breakfast, but since we are experiencing a pandemic I’m not that upset. Overall it was a beautiful place to stay the night and would definitely do it again!!!
