*This is a hike-in camp site to a remote location on my property. From where you park your vehicle, I can take you ~800 feet towards the hut with your gear in my truck. From there I will guide you to the hut which is ~300 feet down a moderately steep trail. I will help you with a trip of belongings when arriving to the hut, but you are responsible to pack out your belongings back to the truck. More details below.* I have lived here over 42 years and I enjoy the serenity and natural beauty of Grayson County. Learn more about this land: - This little hut is made from recycled materials and wood saplings.  It is surrounded by woods, quiet and peaceful. It is about a  six minute walk from your parking spot,  mostly level, slightly steep toward the end, please keep this in mind when deciding what to bring. - We provide clean sheets, pillows and blanket. It has a two burner propane cooktop, basic cooking equipment, some basic common condiments, teas and a pour over coffee set up.  I also provide a cooler with frozen jugs. - There is cold potable running water to the hut.  - There is a fire pit with fire wood. - The outhouse is close by and very private.   I live on the property and will respond to questions and concerns as soon as I can, I want you to have an enjoyable stay. Getting here: - You will travel down my quarter mile long dirt driveway that does have some humps for water run-off. Please be aware of this if your vehicle rides especially low to the ground (such as a Prius vehicle). More about Grayson County: - It is 10 miles to the New River Trail State Park Fries trail head, with bike and kayak rentals. It is about  5 miles to public access to the New River and about 35 miles to Grayson Highlands State Park. There are numerous opportunities for hearing Old Time and Bluegrass music in the area.  Enquire about lower rates for extended stays. There is good cell phone signal for US Cellular, Verizon, T Mobile, AT&T and some others.

      Patrick was an awesome host. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions. He was also gracious enough to use his truck and help bring our belongings to the tent. We would definitely stay there again!!

      Patrick was so incredibly hospitable and the cabin was so cozy. It was the perfect get away spot for a weekend.

      Patrick was a great host! His property is beautiful and it is extremely high value. My boyfriend and I had such a serene weekend. We will be back!

      Great destination get away!
      Amazing getaway and amazing host! When we arrived, Patrick was available and guided us to the cabin. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and has a fantastic property. The cabin is a good hike into the woods, and provides an escape from the world. The cabin is clean with running water, a propane stove, and a fire pit out front. The outhouse is nice, and is far enough away from the cabin to provide privacy. We will be back!

      This was the coolest little place❤️. If you want to relax and unwind you should definitely check this out. Patrick is a great host. Very familiar with the area and willing to help with anything that is needed. Definitely a hidden gem!
