Enjoy mountain views along with one-of-a-kind moonrise and sunsets from our 85 acre organic farm.

Forest Retreat is a 14' x 16' one room cabin WITHOUT power or running water. This rustic cabin sits at the edge of the field and has a beautiful back deck open to the forest. Ideal for 2 guests, there is a new full size mattress in the loft. Guests are REQUIRED to bring their own bedding and encouraged to pack warm for chilly Vermont nights. Camping essentials such as headlights, lantern, cook kit, etc. are also encouraged to bring.

There is a private and recently constructed outhouse a short walk away. The cabin has a wood stove for cold nights and a fire pit outside the front door. Firewood is free to collect from the forest floor and dry bundles are available for sale. We ask that guests DO NOT bring wood from outside Vermont as invasive insects and species can be easily spread.

A 420 friendly farm, Forest Retreat cabin is roughly a 5 minute walk from the parking area, farm stand, gardens and greenhouses. Potable drinking water is available next to the main house where wifi may also be accessed. This is a 3 season cabin at this time, please Inquire for accessibility/availability during winter months!

Organic produce, grab & go salads, pure maple syrup and CBD hemp & cannabis products are available for purchase throughout the summer. We encourage you to unplug on the farm and allow nature recharge your body and mind. Guests have the opportunity to harvest produce and tour the property, explore the historic sugarbush, and relax in the quiet Vermont countryside. Hike, bike, paddle and swim in nearby lakes and the beautiful green mountains. We highly suggest you to visit the numerous breweries, spirit and wine makers, cheese caves, and farmers markets within a short radius of our farm. This is a rich agricultural area with a large locavore population, we are honored to be stewards for this land and want to share its beauty with you!

Beautiful property and very welcoming hosts! I was looking to get off the grid for a bit to relax and recharge after a busy month, so I surprised my husband with a mini stay-cation at Sandiwood Farm. It was better than I imagined! Once settled in, we watched the sun set and the sky was perfectly clear later in the night for star gazing (made that much more enjoyable by some complimentary flower grown on site). Even though it was a chilly evening the wood stove kept us warm while we ate dinner and played cards. We even got to purchase some maple syrup and a flower vase, both made on the farm. We left feeling grateful we found such a gem. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Sara!

We had a great stay at Sandiwood farm and Sara was an incredible host. Even though they were hosting a wedding the next day and had a lot to do, she was very welcoming, patient with us and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The views from the farm are amazing and we will definitely be visiting again!

Wow... we had an amazing time at Sandiwood. The cabin was perfect. Private, clean, comfortable and just the right size. Sara was a very accommodating host and made check in easy. While the cabin is tucked in the edge of a forest, what we didn't know is that a few feet away is a beautiful meadow where we saw the most amazing constellation show. Truly breathtaking.

The cabin had more comfort than you would in a tent: sleeping loft with a mattress, wood burning stove and cooking tool essentials; while keeping all the great experiences of camping. The outhouse, fire pit and space around it are well maintained. The land itself is perfect for a get-away, between the star gazing, sunset mountain views, large forest you can explore (even see a working sugarbush!). Sara was very hospitable and welcoming -- we'll definitely be back!

Sara’s place is simple perfection — a cabin in the woods with a porch, wood-burning stove, and sleeping loft. Fire pit and outhouse were a short walk from the cabin, and well-tended. Sara was also kind enough to lend us a piece of equipment we’d neglected to bring (a grate for cooking over the fire). An absolutely lovely place for two people looking to get away from the city.

Megan and guest arrive on time and kept in contact before arrival. The were respectful and left the cabin clean. We're so glad they made it to our slice of heaven and enjoyed their stay. We would welcome you back when the weather and farm are nicer.

This was our second time staying at Sandiwood Farm. It was just as fantastic as the first! The hosts are very kind people, offering to help carry wood, shovel snow for us, etc. Their cabin is beautiful, cozy, and set by a quiet forest at the edge of a calm field. I can’t recommend this enough!
