Croesus Canyon Car Camping
Spacious. Quiet. Clean. Interesting local history. Varied topography. The one bathroom is great. Unique airy construction. Elevated. It’s like it’s outdoors, but completely private. Spent time talking with Lyn, owner. Very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again.

Croesus Canyon Car Camping
Starry nights
I very much enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We tent camped in the car camp and it was a nice site. We were only able to stay one of the 3 days we booked, but we were chasing the eclipse and missed out. It is right between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend State Park, both of which are must see.

Croesus Canyon Car Camping
Location was easy to find. Off the main road, but not too far. Dirt road maintained good enough for a Prius to get down with no issues. All sites were spotless and flat. Could be a little close if it got crowded, but even on a really busy weekend it felt remote and quiet. Having a bathroom with running water was a BIG park of why we booked this site and it was great to have that amenity. Bathroom was always clean and had an electric light as well. If I had to pick anything to complain about it would be the picnic tables. One was usable and one was totally warped by the harsh sun the area experiences. And they are shared with all the campsites but we were the only ones I saw ever using them. So if that would be a problem, bring your own table. Bring a UV flashlight as well, we had fun looking for scorpions at night and found lots of tiny ones! Really a great spot like 30 ish mins from the entrance of Big Bend National park and I'd totally stay there again!

Croesus Canyon Car Camping
Beautiful view of Chisos
This spot has a great view to the east of the Chisos mountains. Campground wasn’t overly full so there was lots of space between campers. Water is available at the host’s site along with a clean bathroom with flush toilet. Chill spot!
