CHECK IN TIMES 10am to 12pm Closed for lunch 2pm to 5.30 (NB: no late check ins) Please ensure you are able to be here by 5.30pm, we will not accept check ins after this time. Check out times. 10 am - unless advised. The Chookhouse is situated approximately 20 minutes south of Toowoomba on 23 acres. Please note that there are other dogs and animals long our road. We also have grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night. When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take. LONG TERM RENTALS We can also accommodate long term rentals. Please contact us for further information. If possible, we would prefer self-contained set ups; however not essential. AMENITIES Uni-sex amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina. Top Paddock power, Top Paddock unpowered and Paddock Camp we have gas showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). It will not be a hot shower like you have at home, however you will get clean. There are also pit toilets in the camp areas. In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE. WE DO NOT HAVE WATER TO FILL YOUR CARAVAN. Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper. National Parks, walking trails, Wineries, Gourmet Pubs and Restaurants, Markets, two magnificent parks with play areas for children and so many other points of interest to see and discover. So many animals here! You get to meet camels, cows, pigs, alpacas, Boer goats Dorper Sheep, a multitude of chickens, geese, peacocks and guinea fowl. Miss Piggy loves posing for the camera. Sit under the stars and toast your marshmallows by your fire pit. Safe place to leave your gear while out exploring the Darling Downs and surrounds. Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required. Site 2 - Top Paddock - Powered
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chookhouse Farmstay. The animals were the highlight, sitting around the campfire, enjoying the star show was just what the kids and I needed. Would highly recommend and have every intention of visiting again. Great location, not too far from Toowoomba but far enough and rural enough to feel like you escaped the rat race.

Site 3 - Paddock Camp
We had a wonderful stay here. Rob met us on arrival and showed us where to camp. We were near the playground and the kids had an amazing time. They loved all the animals especially the camels and the Pig! The toilets were clean and well maintained. Definitely would recommend and will be back!

Great little escape from the city
Lovely little spot, great facilites and nice easy getaway/escape from Brisbane. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Camping with animals
We had a very nice stay at chockhouse. The camping site is 15min driving to Toowoomba on a peaceful farm. During our stay, we got to see and feed Rod’s animals which was an absolutely a bonus for this camping trip.😃 On the site, there are also some facilities for kids. It’s a great place for getting away from the city as well as for a family to stay. Highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Rod for having us. 😊
