Mt Hood Riverfront -- Site #4
Absolutely worth it!!!
Very nice and so relaxing! The sound of the Sandy River brought back great memories from when I was a kid. Sleeping in our tent falling asleep to the River and the elements was exactly what e we need.

The site is nice. Pretty stream runs past the site and there is access from the property. We were in a camper van and had the place to ourselves which was great. The location is great as well just outside of the Mt Hood National Park. There are 5 tent platforms on the site with communal fire pit and a couple of picnic tables. It would be very crowded if all 5 were taken. But we had a very private and nice experience. Phi communicated well with us as we booked last minute.

This was a nice spot by the river. The spots are close together so some mingling of campers happens. The location is good if you want to go hike or explore the area during the day, its a short drive to lots of cool stuff. The sounds of the river make for great sleeping!

Pretty river and solar lights!
This was only my second booking using Hipcamp but I was very very pleased with this locale and will book again. We had the whole place to ourselves. Upon entering we smelled and saw lovely lillies by the driveway and heard the river. The platform fit our tent perfectly. The pond is closer than the river so would recommend mosquito repellent if camping in those months but they were not bad at all in August. The owner has done a great job with solar lighting that comes on at dark and gives it a fairyland magical feeling. Nice clean picnic tables, very clean secured porta-potty. Two big nice firepits (though we were in a burn ban during our visit, look fwd to using those on a future trip). There is some road noise but it all but dies after 11ish and I'm used to it anyway. The sound of the river made up for it!🥰 Great little metal bench near river would make perfect spot with a glass of wine and a significant other. I appreciate the fruit trees (not sure what type) the owner has planted near the camping platforms and the arborvitae once a little bigger will block out a little more of road noise. The effort to add trees/landscaping is greatly noticed and appreciated by me🙌😁! I do wish this place had a shower though. I think one of those outdoor style showers could be done easily enough near the river/maybe sourcing water from the river? But no big deal its still a great lil place and looking fwd to coming bk this fall! Look fwd to seeing what else the owner does with this little gem in the future! 😀

I was disappointed when we got there and realized how close the site was to the highway but that's just a limitation of how all of the riverfront property is situated. It turned out to be a wonderful little spot. The river access was absolutely delightful and the highway traffic dropped off completely overnight so there was no issue with noise or traffic. Really, really enjoyed our stay!

Beauty in a shared space
Beautiful access and view from each site! Just a heads up, the sites are incredibly close to each other, so if you like privacy, probably not the best option but if you are into sharing space, this rocks!
