Our main reservation software doesn't sync with Hipcamp's calendar so it's difficult to have all of the 36 sites individually on here.
These tent sites are “primitive” - No water or electricity. We do have water spigots and porta potties scattered through the areas further from the bathhouse. There is a dish washing station with hot water on outsisde of bathhouse. We have a clean bathhouse with hot showers. Pets are permitted on a leash and you must clean up after your pet. 24-hour laundry room for guest use. Fees are $2 each wash, $2 each dry. Play areas with swing set, sandbox, horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, corn hole and a basketball goal. Board and card games available for guest use. Most sites are on the mountain stream – great for wading. Motorcycle friendly sites. Hammock areas: Eno Shed, Hammock Grove and some sites with hammock posts.
The pavilion in the middle field has a big screen television hooked up to DishTV satellite and a wifi router for staying in touch inline, with comfy outdoor seating. Free Wi-Fi access available in 2 locations within the campground. One at the office and one at the pavilion. Signal strength is limited and not all sites will receive a signal. The campground is located in a mountainous area and therefore the cell service is spotty.
When you enter Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground, you can leave all the “rush-rush” of your daily life behind. You will find yourself in a beautiful valley with quiet green meadows and a bubbling brook encompassing your surroundings. When you rise in the morning with dew on the grass, the birds singing, and the aroma of coffee brewing while bacon sizzles, you will feel a quiet peacefulness beyond your imagination. When you return after a day of kayaking, biking, site-seeing, relaxing, etc., you will find the same peacefulness you experienced in the morning. The smells from the wood burning campfire will whet your appetite for a tasty meal, even prepared at your campsite. Sleep comes naturally from the clean mountain air – Sweet Dreams!
We are almost half-way between Bryson City and the Nantahala Gorge.

Great amenities. Showers were great with ample hot water. Area for washing dishes right next to bath house. Camp sites were a little too close together, but we were the only tent campers these days so it was very nice. Close enough to town, but out in the country too.
Nice! quiet! beautiful
Great spot. Quiet and clean bathrooms.
Also laundry! $2 wash and $2 dry. They have a place in the middle for tv and wifi.
The wifi isn’t the best but it works. Would stay here again!
This campground has everything! Wi-fi, TV, washer/dryer and many games to borrow. People managing were friendly and responsive to our needs. Love to go back when it's not a holiday weekend. Our close neighbors were a little annoying.
