Located on the Buckenbowra River, Riverbend is an idealistic, tranquil hideaway with a tidal river and beach. The property is just over 40 acres in size. It has approx. 1km of river frontage and depending on tides several beaches with 1 permanent at your camp. This is a natural setting so expect various wildlife. The property has been affected by the bushfires but is recovering well. Firewood collection is permitted in most areas of the property. A single gateway' leads to a large level grassy area on the banks of the river, allowing you to spread out. Your group will have exclusive camping access. The area will accommodate 3 camper trailers or 1 medium sized caravan plus cars. There is a large sand based fire-pit for your open fires . There are no facilities so you must bring your own drinking water, toilet and remember to remove all rubbish. The only thing you should leave is your footprints in the sand. Kayaking/canoeing, swimming, wildlife watching, photography, bushwalking, are all accessible right from your camp. The swimming hole is at your doorstep. For wildlife lovers the trees around the camping area are home to many bird species, Parrots, Azure Kingfisher and a white breasted sea eagle. Even the resident river seal 'Neil' may pay a visit. If you are a bush walker the surrounding area is home to wallabies, wombats and lace monitors as well many other smaller mammals.

      Secluded and peaceful
      Fantastic spot along the Buckenbowra River with great access. Fish are highly visible and the camp leads to a pebble and sand beach with shallow waters than leading to a deep swimming hole. Highly secluded camp, nice large grassed area that's been well maintained and level sections big enough for a couple of camper trailers. Approximately 20mins drive in to Batemans Bay or Mogo with a lovely scenic drive. Multiple wildlife species can be spotted along the way. I highly recommend anyone considering staying here stay at least 2 days to really enjoy the surroundings. Amanda and Steve were great to deal with prior to arriving and I feel had there have been any issues they would have been more than welcoming to assist.

      Secluded, quiet, river front with a lovely drive to the destination. Magic spot, made more so by the fact that our dogs could spend all day off-lead and swimming, right at our front door! We'll be back 😉

      What a spot! 5 stars. Couldn’t recommend this site anymore. Had a great weekend with the family and the dogs loved splashing around in the water. 100% be back.

      I really don’t want to tell anyone just how great this place is because I want to keep it all for myself!! Our family absolutely loved our weekend away and we will be back 100%! The space was amazing and the hosts were fantastic! I can’t wait until our next visit!
