Located on the Buckenbowra River, Riverbend is an idealistic, tranquil hideaway with a tidal river and beach.
The property is just over 40 acres in size.
It has approx. 1km of river frontage and depending on tides several beaches with 1 permanent at your camp.
This is a natural setting so expect various wildlife.
The property has been affected by the bushfires but is recovering well.
Firewood collection is permitted in most areas of the property.
A single gateway'
leads to a large level grassy area on the banks of the river, allowing you to spread out. Your group will have exclusive camping access.
The area will accommodate 3 camper trailers or 1 medium sized caravan plus cars.
There is a large sand based fire-pit for your open fires . There are no facilities so you must bring your own drinking water, toilet
and remember to remove all rubbish. The only thing you should leave is your footprints in the sand.
Kayaking/canoeing, swimming, wildlife watching, photography, bushwalking, are all accessible right from your camp.
The swimming hole is at your doorstep.
For wildlife lovers the trees around the camping area are home to many bird species, Parrots, Azure Kingfisher and
a white breasted sea eagle.
Even the resident river seal 'Neil' may pay a visit.
If you are a bush walker the surrounding area is home to wallabies, wombats
and
lace monitors as well many other smaller mammals.
